Warlords are special formidable enemies in Modern Warfare Zombies. They're like the bosses of their bases. To get to them, players have to go through a bunch of tough stuff, like fighting lots of mercenary troops and dealing with tricky traps and gadgets.
Defeating the Warlord involves clearing out a Merc Camp first. Once the camp is clear, grab the keycard and proceed to clear out a Merc Stronghold. It's important to take your time while clearing the stronghold because as soon as you open the door, a helicopter will arrive and drop off more mercenaries nearby. You can counter this by shooting down the helicopter before all the mercenaries disembark, or by waiting under the ropes and picking them off as they descend.
After dealing with the mercenaries from the helicopter, re-enter the building. There will typically be at least one mercenary equipped with a Riot Shield; if you encounter them, use grenades or your field ability to eliminate them. Since most enemies in the building will be in confined spaces, avoid rushing into rooms and instead take your time clearing each one methodically.
Once you've eliminated all the mercenaries, proceed to enter the Fortress. Upon entry, be cautious as the area will be booby-trapped. Avoid shooting the inflated troops, as doing so will result in a flashbang effect. As you ascend the stairs, remember to disarm the wire trap located at the top. After dispatching the mercenaries near the staircase, enter the small hallway and eliminate all enemies within the adjacent room. Legacy, also known as the Warlord, will be positioned at the back of the room. It's worth noting that he'll be heavily armored like an Elite Merc, requiring a significant amount of bullets to defeat.
Upon defeating Legacy, he'll drop Strauss's research if you're in the process of completing the Storm The Castle mission. All that remains is to retrieve it to complete the mission. Regardless of whether the mission is completed or not, a previously locked door in the room will open. Upon opening it, you'll encounter a few inflated troops, and you'll have the opportunity to loot a reward Rift. While the specific item found within the Rift is random, the likelihood of obtaining The Scorcher is extremely high.
