How do you get Blackwing Lair attunement?

The most challenging part about the Blackwing Lair attunement is in finding the start of the quest itself, which is located in a neatly hidden room at the start of the dungeon. You have to find and defeat the Scarshield Quartermaster, then pick up a note off his body. Once that is done, all you have to do is go through the dungeon, defeat General Drakkisath and click on the orb of Ascension behind the dead boss. With that done, the attunement is finished as well, as you’d now be able to teleport to the raid’s entrance thanks to the Orbs of Command and Ascension.

How do you know if you are attuned to BWL?

There isn’t any specific metric to see whether you’re attuned with the raid or not, but it’s not that difficult to check for yourself. One option is to approach the Orb of Command in the Blackrock Mountain and try to use it. If you can’t, then the attunement wasn’t done. Another option is to go and kill the Scarshield Quartermaster. If you can’t pick up a special note off his body, then you’ve already completed the attunement.

Does Blackwing Lair require attunement?

While Blackwing Lair has an attunement, it is not necessary to enter the raid. Instead, it only serves as a shortcut for easier access in the future. That being said, since the alternative is getting through the Blackrock Spire dungeon every time you plan on doing the raid, completing the attunement is extremely convenient. Many raid teams won’t even let you join them unless you’ve completed your attunement.
