Herbalism supports Alchemy, Mining feeds Jewelcrafting/Engineering/Blacksmithing, and Skinning pairs naturally with Leatherworking while also being a reliable gold source.

Jewelcrafting is the only new profession in The Burning Crusade. It lets you prospect ore for gems, cut gems for sockets, and craft jewelry like rings and necklaces, making it a core profession for gearing and the economy in TBC.

In The Burning Crusade Classic you can have two primary professions in any combination: crafting and gathering, gathering and gathering, crafting and crafting, the choice is up to you. You can pick anything you like from this list of primary professions:
