Already on January 19, Ulduar will open for the players. So, it’s the best time to talk about this famous raid one more time. Ulduar overview, finding the raid entrance, boss tactics, and Ulduar loot tables are waiting for you in our Ulduar guide.
WotLK Ulduar Overview
Ulduar complex was built as a jail for the old god Yogg-Saron dozens of thousand yours ago. The Keepers of Ulduar, Freya, Hodir, Mimiron, and Thorim, day by day, were on duty protecting the world from the God of Death, but finally lost their mental fight against the evil creature and became the slaves of Yogg-Saron. So, now Ulduar is one of the darkest and most dangerous places in Azeroth, but players should defeat the old god before he takes back his powers.
Of course, invasion into the Ulduar will be profitable for the players. Not only because of the valuable armor and non-set items but also because of the rare mount Mimiron’s Head which can be looted from the raid’s last boss.
To find the Ulduar, it will be better to use the flight point that players regularly use to get themselves to the Halls of Lightning & Stone dungeons. After that, just follow the coordinates /way The Storm Peaks 64.62, 58.12.
But there is one problem for the players who can’t use the flying mount because the entrance is located high above the other part of the island. So if you still don’t learn how no use flying mounts, you should ask your party mates to summon you.
WotLK Classic Ulduar will be much harder than Naxxramas from Phase 1, so you should get suitable equipment and master your class gameplay to comply with a high level of enemies from the raid. As usual, you can get pre-raid gear from crafting professions, after reputation leveling (including useful chants and other consumables), or from Heroic dungeons where you can get even items from the raids of Phase 1 using Mysterious Titanic Relic. To learn more about this novelty, you can read our WotLK Classic Phase 2 Overview.
