WotLK Eye of Eternity Overview
The Eye of Eternity is a raid that is situated in the upper part of the Nexus in Borean Tundra. The Nexus is a huge column sewed with magical energy. It also contains two dungeons in the lower parts. In the raid, heroes will face Malygos, the Blue Dragon aspect, and defeat him.
Both raid difficulties 10 and 25 require at least one player of the raid to be attuned. The item that unlocks the access to the raid drops from Sapphiron in 10- and 25-player Naxx.
In the Eye of Eternity, players have a chance to loot a lot of great items including two different mounts the Reins of the Azure Drake and the Reins of the Blue Drake.
WotLK Eye of Eternity Entrance
The Eye of Eternity is located in the Nexus, in Coldarra. It is an island located in the Borean Tundra. The nearest available flight path is Transitus Shield. As with every raid, this one has the summoning stone right outside.
The Raid entrance is on the upper part of the Nexus tower in the center of Coldarra.

WotLK Eye of Eternity Quick Tactics
This fight is a three-phase encounter that involves fighting Malygos directly, fighting his minions while avoiding breath attacks, and finally a fight riding red drakes. Players will be able to use the drake abilities to defeat the boss.
Phase One
During this phase, players fight Malygos directly. The dragon breathes in front of him with Arcane Breath so the tank needs to face Malygos away from the rest members of the raid. It is unusual for dragons but Malygos has no tail swipe attack.
In ~45 seconds of the fight, Malygos will cast Vortex on the entire raid. This makes each player fly into the air. This spell deals ~2000 arcane damage per second for 10 seconds. Most spells with cast times will be interrupted over and over again, still, players still can use instant spells. After that, the raid falls down onto the initial platform. Be ready for fast repositioning to avoid that Arcane Breath.
Soon after the Vortex, Power Sparks spawn on the platform. Those can buff Malygos if they reach him. Try to kill sparkles before this happens. Upon death, they leave a pulsing circle, which buffs all players standing in the area with Power Spark. The thing is that players can benefit from multiple Power Sparks at once.
When Malygos gets down to 50% health, he flies up into the air, and phase two begins.
Phase Two
During this phase, Malygos cast various arcane spells at the raid. Nexus Lords will spawn to attack the raid. Keep your eye on purple bubbles as they provide a protection buff Arcane Overload. They start in a large size and decrease over time, so the raid is forced to run from one bubble to another. During the rush between the safe zones, players take full arcane damage, keep that in mind and have your damage-reducing abilities ready just in case.
The main idea for the raid is to rush into the first safe zone and kill the Nexus Lords. Upon death, they drop the flying disc platform that melee DPS should pick up by right-clicking on it. Melee players have to fly into the air and attack the Scion of Eternitys. They will also drop discs for more players to fly. Players who fly on discs cannot be attacked by any of the various arcane damage spells. Once all four Nexus Lords are dead, the rest of the ranged damage dealers on the ground should finish off the Scion of Eternity. They will also have to run between the safe zones to decrease the damage received. Once all of the minions are dead phase two ends.
Phase Three
Malygos destroys the initial platform but Alexstrasza saves your raid by sending her red drakes. Every raid member can ride a red drake and use their abilities to fight Malygos. All drakes have the same abilities but players can choose between damaging or healing. For 25-player mode it is usually enough to have 4-5 healers and 20-21 damage dealers. The 10-player version of the raid requires 2 healers and 8 damage dealers. Players should discuss their phase 3 roles before the fight.
First of all, avoid Static Field. It is a big spawn that pulses with AOE damage. It is good to assign one player to lead everyone.
Damage dealer players’ main goal is to kill the boss. Simply use the number 1 ability Flame Spike together with the number 2 ability Engulf in Flames. The rotation is simple: 1 > 1> 2 > repeat. Try to stack up the Engulf in Flames debuff and never let it drop.
Healers should use their number 3 ability Revivify to cast a powerful HoT effect. Every cast generates a combo point, which grants Life Burst. This spell increases healing output and should be up almost all the time.
Malygos will randomly attack players and the damage he deals is pretty high. Make sure to use Life Burst plus keep some Revivify stacks up on his target.
The drakes have two more skills Flame Shield and Blazing Speed. The Flame Shield prevents the caster’s death. Blazing Speed drastically increases your speed.
The raid’s damage on Malygos increases over time due to DoT mechanics. If everything is done right Malygos will fall down and you can get the rewards.
