Herbalism in Wrath of the Lich King Classic is one of the three gathering professions, meaning that resources will be gathered primarily from herb nodes in the open world, raids, and dungeons in Northrend. Wrath Classic Herbs are most commonly used for the Alchemy or Inscription professions. But even without these professions, collecting herbs can make a significant profit by trading them between players or selling them at auction.
Our WotLK Herbalism guide will show you everything you need to know about Herbalism, such as cool herbalism tips, best professions to combine, best Herbalism classes and races, trainer locations, herb node locations, herb requirements, and the best route for leveling up your Herbalism skill from 1 to 450.
WotLK Classic Herbalism Overview
Herbalism is a skill that allows you to collect herbs in the world, dungeons, and some raids. Also, you can collect herbs from some mobs in Outland like Bog Lord and some others. The main tracking ability is Find Herbs, it shows herb nodes on the minimap.
The Main End-Game Herbalism Resources
In Wrath of the Lich King Classic appeared 3 new herbs and herb deposits, such as:
Frost Lotus as it’s a key component in all flasks in Alchemy. One important thing is that you can’t Mill the Frost Lotus into pigments for ink.
Best Professions to mix with Herbalism
WotLK Herbalism simply pairs with both Alchemy and Inscription, since herbs are the main resource for them.
Alchemy has been a very important profession for past expansions and has remained important in this one. Therefore, it remains a good choice for combination with Herbalism.
Inscription the brand-new profession added in Lich King Classic, also has a tangible impact in this expansion because you can create Glyphs and extremely strong trinkets which everyone will need. More information about you can find in our guide for this profession.
Best race and class for Herbalism
Only Taurens have racial ability Cultivation, +15 Herbalism.
Druids are the best Herbalists because they can herb while in Flight Form and are able to collect herb faster than other classes.
Useful Addons
GatherMate2 + GatherMate Data are addons that show on the world map and minimap where are located herbs, deposits/veins, and other useful things.
