What Does Wish-Keeper Do?

How to get Wish Keeper

First, let’s see what the Wish Keeper Exotic weapon actually does so you can determine if it is worth pursuing. The Intrinsic trait is called Snareweaver.

How to get Wish KeeperSnareweaverPrecision hits and final blows build energy towards a Snareweaver arrow that can be fired from the hip. On impact, these arrows create a pattern of traps that suspend nearby targets.

There’s also another unique trait — Silkbound Slayer.

How to get Wish KeeperSilkbound SlayerThis weapon deals bonus damage to suspended targets. Gain faster draw time for a short duration when you suspend a target from any source or damage a suspended target with this weapon.

A Precision final blow has double the impact of a regular final blow or a Precision shot. You can shoot a unique arrow that creates a complex trap pattern on the ground. If an enemy steps on one of the green lines, the trap is triggered and they are immobilized. You can then deal bonus damage against the immobilized target.

Wish Keeper in PvE and PvP

How to get Wish Keeper

Wish-Keeper is a powerful weapon that combines elements of Hierarchy of Needs, Anarchy, and Strand subclasses. Suspend is still highly effective in PvE, making difficult activities much easier.

The potency of Wish-Keeper in PvE may not translate into much usefulness in The Crucible. The suspend ability does have some importance in PvP, but it is not particularly noteworthy. Additionally, activating the Exotic perk can be more challenging in PvP, making it less practical to use an Exotic slot. But take it easy, you can get all the best weapons with our Meta Weapon bundle and still dominate in PvP.

Therefore, we consider Wish-Keeper as an S-Tier weapon in PvE, and B-Tier in PvP. The Strand synergy is highly versatile and can complement a wide range of build types, including the one discussed below.

How to Get Wish-Keeper in Destiny 2

Let’s get into how to get this Exotic bow. There are two different difficulties, and you just need Normal to get the bow itself and likely Legend will involve some Catalyst stuff.

How to Start the Wish Keeper Exotic Mission?

The first thing you’re going to need to do is be up to date with the weekly Story Missions. Because this week’s weekly Story Mission will directly lead into the Exotic Quest. If you’re lagging behind from previous weeks, you’ll have to complete all of previous weeks missions until you get to this week’s mission, specifically the Apophasis mission.  And if you can’t spare enough time to complete quests every week, we’re here to take care of all Season of the Wish Weekly Challenges.

After that mission, you’re going to need to talk to several NPCs, specifically The Crow. And then he’ll give you the next step of the “Wish all the best” quest to complete the Starcrossed Exotic Mission. The mission will then appear within the H.E.L.M. destination map, so you can start that right away.

How to Complete Starcrossed Exotic Mission

To complete the Starcrossed Exotic mission and obtain Wish-Keeper you need to traverse through the Garden and Structure, defeat several enemies using buffs, and finally, face the boss — Akardon, Pitiless Mind. Follow these steps and it will be an easy task for you.

How to get Wish Keeper

1. In the starting area, move forward. Shoot the hanging leaves to create platforms for jumping. And look for a secret chest along the way. Keep moving until you exit the cave and enter a new area.

2. Approach the Structure where enemies await. Here get the Sire’s Obligation buff for 45 seconds. Use the buff to damage the glowing Phalanx enemy.

3. Proceed to the next section with multiple Phalanx enemies you need to kill in a specific order to obtain the buff again. Look for symbols on the ground to determine the order. If the buff wears out, return to the original location to get it again. Then traverse the Garden to progress further.

4. Obtain the Dam’s gift buff to explore areas with orange smoke. Defeat three bosses to access the Transit Mechanism portal. Watch out for moving stones on your path.

5. Kill all three Gatekeeper Wyverns. Eliminate the Vex and a boss will spawn. Then defeat the Ixion, Covetous Mind.

6. Navigate through a jumping puzzle, using a Strand grapple if needed to the area with similar mechanics as before. Here choose between the red Dem’s gift buff to move through the sides or the Crowned by Dragons buff to move through the orange smoke and damage the Phalanx.

7. Kill Phalanx enemies in the correct order according to symbols. And use the buff to make your way through pathways surrounded by orange smoke.

8. Face the final boss after defeating the three Phalanx. You need to grab the rally banner and stock up on ammo before facing the boss.

9. Kill the Pitless Attendant mini boss to remove shields around the Hydra boss.

10. After completing the task, open the chest to find the Wish Keeper, which will have a guaranteed red border since it is now craftable.

Right after the cut scene, you can go to the Enclave and customize the bow with different strings, shafts, and a catalyst slot.

How to Get the Wish-Keeper Catalyst

The Wish-Keeper, similar to Revision Zero and Vexcalibur, is a craftable weapon. To unlock Wish Keeper catalysts and intrinsic upgrades for the your bow you should participate in the Season of the Wish Exotic Mission. Each catalyst has its own effect and improves the performance of the Wish-Keeper. However, the Enclave will inform you that none of the catalysts are available at the moment, but they will become accessible during the next weekly resets. Based on previous Destiny 2 activities, we’ll have to wait until week 5.

Interestingly this bow has four unique Catalyst options: Enduring Snare Refit, Multi-Threaded Snare Refit, Vorpal Weapon Refit, and Hatchling Refit. Customize it after unlocking these craftable traits by doing higher difficulties and waiting for weekly resets.

As you can see the two catalysts of Wish-Keeper enhance its weapon capabilities rather than providing direct benefits. This allows players to focus on the unique aspects of Wish-Keeper Exotic instead of simply adding new traits to it.

To upgrade Wish-Keeper Catalysts you should make hundreds of kills, and the way to do it, is defeat Shuro Chi in Last Wish. Don’t forget that you can always get Last Wish Runs at Overgear.

Wish-Keeper God Rolls

Upon examination of the Wish-Keeper, it appears to be a highly versatile bow that relies on suspending targets. Its numerous abilities make it well-suited for PVE, particularly as a supportive weapon with crowd control capabilities when paired with the Multi-Threaded Snare Refit. Further evaluation in real-world scenarios will provide greater insight into its potential in both PVE and PVP contexts. Let’s wait a couple weeks to be sure what exactly turns out to be the Godroll for this weapon. For now we find beneficial these combos:

Best Wish-Keeper Build

Currently, Wish-Keeper is widely regarded as the best option for pairing with any Strand build, providing a distinct advantage. So, you have the option to choose any build that you prefer and that aligns with your preferred gameplay style. And we’ll show you one of our favorites ones.

The Ensnaring Archer build provides players with the opportunity to create a high-performing build for Warlocks in the endgame, requiring just one necessary piece of equipment, the Wish-Keeper. This build is especially effective in crowd control, utilizing multiple suspend elements, and allowing players some flexibility to customize their buffs through Exotic Armor options.

Here are some suggestions for armor choices:

Aspects: Mindspun Invocation, The Wanderer

Fragments: Thread of Mind , Thread of Generation , Thread of Continuity , Thread of Warding

Abilities: The Shackle Grenade, Mindspun Invocation

Stats: Discipline, Resilience, Recovery
