WoW Forever Combat Rogue is the most complete Rogue spec at every level, as it builds Combo Points with Sinister Strike, spends them on Slice and Dice and Eviscerate, and relies on its weapons for the rest of the damage. It is also the spec that changed least, because Combat was already the strongest Rogue tree for PvE in Classic.
Two class-wide changes in WoW Forever help Combat Rogue because they affect Energy, which every Rogue ability uses. Energy regenerates smoothly rather than in ticks, and missed abilities now appear to refund part of their Energy. Poisons also scale with Attack Power now, although the base damage of Instant Poison is lower than in Classic.
