The Druid is probably the most controversial class in Diablo 4 at the moment. The most promising at the moment seems Lightning Storm build, which will allow you to level up extremely fast. And Lightning Strike skill will help to turn all your enemies to ashes.
5.0Blizzard assure that the Druid is one of the strongest classes in the game. But during the Beta testing it was quite difficult to assess its advantages. That’s because the balance of all classes is not final yet.

As far as it goes Druid is a mix of Barbarian and Sorcerer. He has both melee builds, through abilities that turn him into a wolf or bear, and elemental builds that turn him into a range class.
The Druid’s unique ability to get buffs from different aspects was not available during the beta. But we can definitely say that it’s not a good idea to bet on “bear”. It’s better to try investing points in earth or wind. Before the June release and in the early stages after, you can use a few earliest skills such as Storm skill Tornado and Werewolf skill Shred.
Diablo 4 Lightning Storm Druid Build
The main benefit of a Druid with Lightning Storm is that he can to deal a lot of lightning damage with Lightning Storm. With a certain luck (and this is a very RNG dependent build), you can summon many important attack procs like Primal Lightning Storm, Electric Shock and Bad Omen. Druid Lightning Storm uses different ways to immobilize, such as Lightning Strike, as a defense.

It is important to note that this build is quite hard, as Lightning Storm needs to be targeted for several seconds to reach its potential, which requires the Druid to not move. Although Lightning Storm recovers this by a good balance of high single-target damage and AoE.
Therefore, your success will depend on careful control, kiting, timing and positioning.

We already wrote in the Druid guide that the primary attribute is Willpower. Willpower increases your damage and healing, so you could try to prioritize equipment with a high Willpower stat.

Diablo 4 Lightning Storm Druid Build Equipment
There are 5 classes in Diablo 4 to choose from, and each one has its own unique mechanics. These mechanics change a lot over the course of the game by adding rare and legendary items to your slots. It’s not hard to guess that the effectiveness of this or that build will depend on your luck and what loot you get.
So, your main goal is to provide yourself with equipment with the maximum amount of the main Willpower stat. We will tell you more in detail after the release.
Elixirs and Health Potions
Visit the Alchemist in Kyovashad right at the beginning to craft useful Elixirs. They boost some stats and experience for 30 minutes. Weak Iron Barb Elixir and Weak Third Eye Elixir provide protection up to level 20. At level 20, use Weak Assault Elixir instead to increase attack speed.
Also additional healing is necessary for survival. So be sure to visit the Alchemist when you reach levels 10, 20 and higher to renew health potions.
Diablo 4 Lightning Storm Druid Paragon Board
Once you reach level 50, you’ll be able to start leveling the Paragon Board. We don’t have reliable information yet, because the Paragon Board is not available in the Beta version. That’s why we will add this section after the release. But already now we can say that you should follow the same principles as in talent progression: to increase elemental damage, to pay attention to Lucky Hit and Immobilize and ability power.
