Once your character reaches level 50, a whole new realm opens up—the Paragon Board. Progressing from this point forward, you have the opportunity to acquire 4 Paragon points per level attained. These points can be invested in a wide array of nodes within the comprehensive Paragon Board system. Moreover, upon achieving the fifth and ultimate milestone of the Renown system in each region of Sanctuary, you will be granted an additional 4 Paragon points.
How To Maximize Your Paragon Points in Diablo 4
The Paragon Board system has a finite limit of 220 Paragon points that can be earned and allocated. This encompasses a total of 200 Paragon points attainable by reaching maximum level 100, and an additional 20 Paragon points obtained through Renown in each region of Sanctuary. Once this cap is reached, further progression within the Paragon Board will no longer yield additional points.
Paragon Board Design
Paragon Board is a labyrinth, the starting point of which depends on your class. As you earn each Paragon point, you gain the ability to activate an additional node within the Paragon Board. - Normal Nodes provide a +5 stat bonus to either Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, or Dexterity.
- Magic Nodes on the Paragon Board offer unique and specific stat bonuses that are typically more difficult to find on regular items in the game. These nodes grant specialized enhancements to particular attributes or abilities, providing a distinct advantage to your character’s build.
- Rare Nodes within the Paragon Board offer potent base effects and additional bonus effects that can be unlocked by meeting specific thresholds or conditions. Typically, each Paragon Board contains around 10 or more Rare Nodes, each with its own distinct combination of base effects and conditional bonuses.
- Legendary Nodes in the Paragon Board offer powerful, build-defining effects that can scale with attributes like Intelligence. Typically, a Paragon Board contains one Legendary Node, making it a rare and highly impactful addition to your character’s build. Investing in a Legendary Node can unlock unique abilities and significantly shape your gameplay experience.
- Glyph Sockets on the Paragon Board are unique nodes that allow you to enhance your character’s abilities through Paragon Glyphs. When you unlock a Glyph Socket, you can place a Paragon Glyph into it, which brings additional benefits to your character.
- The Board Attachment Gate serves as the crucial “connecting node” that links two Paragon Boards together. By investing a Paragon point into this node, you gain significant benefits: a +5 increase to all stats, including Strength, Intelligence, Willpower, and Dexterity. Additionally, this investment allows you the freedom to choose your next Paragon Board, enabling you to progress and develop your character’s abilities according to your preferences and objectives. Paragon Glyphs
After successfully completing a Nightmare Dungeon, you have the ability to level up your Glyphs to enhance their effectiveness. This leveling process involves increasing bonuses or expanding the affected radius of the Glyph.
In contrast to Diablo 3’s Legendary Gem system, the experience gained for Glyphs appears to be deterministic. This means that you can allocate flat amounts of experience directly to a Paragon Glyph, allowing for a more predictable progression and control over its growth.
