The Season 1 update to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 spawned a huge number of changes. And some of them affected the most important aspect of Battle Royale – the map. In this Warzone guide we’ll look at what the map was, what it is now, and whether this update is better for players. And dive into our How to get Nuke in Warzone to find out all Urzikstan rewards.
Warzone Urzikstan map
Yes, this map isn’t new anymore, but that doesn’t make it any less worthy of attention. MW3 Warzone map Urzikstan release time was on December 6, 2023. And in a month and a half it managed to make it clear that it is the best map in the history of Call of Duty Warzone Mode.
On the plus side, the gameplay density. That is, the map in Warzone is perfectly designed for the maximum number of players possible in BR (100 people). It has enough water and enough land for fighting and eluding enemies, it has enough buildings and open spaces. Also do not forget that matches last 20 minutes, which again, positively affects the dynamics of gameplay. And all this is generated only by the map. To achieve the desired rank and get the Urzikstan rewards you can use our Warzone Ranked Play.

Urzikstan Map Location
Urzikstan is “a metropolis on the eastern border of the Black Sea.” This new Warzone map is located in Western Asia, bordering the Republic of Adal where the Al Mazrah map is situated. But it’s 20% smaller than Al Mazrah.
The region is currently facing turmoil following the overthrow of a dictator, with two factions vying for power and the remaining soldiers seeking vengeance. Your objective is to halt the Allegiance and ultra-nationalist forces led by Viktor Zakhaev.
All Warzone Urzikstan POI’s
Every point of interest (POI) possesses distinct attributes that you can leverage to gain the upper hand during intense gunfights. Certain POIs with higher traffic counts will have better chances for loot. But some of the less frequented POIs will have Hidden Caches. With the help of Hidden Caches, you can start your game on Urzikstan with much more resources like Cash, Weapons, and Perks. These are a few of Urzikstan’s top landing locations.
Urzikstan Cargo
One of the most unpleasant places to have fights due to the sheer number of containers pitted against each other. This creates a lot of vertical gameplay and nasty nooks and crannies where enemies may be waiting for you.
Levin Resort
Even though Levin Resort doesn’t have a lot of treasure, there are frequently a few contracts close by that can help your team win the first few minutes of a match.
The rewards from these contracts can be used to find a free loadout drop nearby and engage in combat with opposing teams. Or you can use them to save up enough money for a loadout drop, UAV, self-revive, etc. However, Levin Resort is not frequently in the zone, so if you land here, you will need to rotate a bit.
Popov Power
It’s a great place for snipers. A small industrial town, if you can call it that: pipes, cranes, industrial buildings – everything is designed for teamfights.
Zaravan City
Zaravan City has quickly gained popularity among players as their preferred drop location. That’s because it resembles Downtown from Warzone’s original Verdansk map. Being one of Urzikstan’s largest points of interest, Zaravan City is home to several legendary loot boxes and is also your greatest bet for getting a high kill count early in the game.
Since Zaravan is situated near the middle of the Urzikstan map, the gas won’t catch up to you until much later in the game. Because of this, it’s among Urzikstan’s top landing locations. And if you want to complete Champion’s Quest with no hassle, use our Warzone Nuke service.
Zaravan Suburbs
The easiest way to get to Zaravan City at the very least, and a good place to loot if you don’t like to risk falling into hot spots.
Orlov Military Base
The Orlov Military Base is a great place to start your game. You could be able to secure a loadout in the first few minutes of the game at the Orlov Military Base because it has four Hidden Caches and a Buy Station at the end.
There won’t be as much competition for these hidden spots because there are fewer players landing at Military Base, so it’s even better for finding Hidden Caches.
Seaport District
The Seaport District, which is situated on Urzikstan’s western coast, is typically a calm place to land. It’s ideal for securing a loadout before rotating towards Zaravan City because there are plenty of buildings to loot and contracts available nearby. Even though it might be a little out of the way, you can easily use cars and ziplines to get to Urzikstan’s more populated areas fast.
Shahin Manor
A stunning manor house with two staircases, marble floors, and lots of space for close-quarters fighting is located far away from the city.
Old Town
A lot of players opt to land in Old Town, which is a dangerous drop with potentially huge rewards if you survive. With so many buildings, Old Town is perfect for players who like close-quarters combat. There are numerous fabled treasure chests as well.
Low Town
This section of the map will see multiple squads attempting to move from one area to another, so don’t let appearances fool you. Go here if you need to kill someone; stay away if you want to survive.
Hadiqa Farms
There are no shelters and few loot spots, so dropping here initially we do not recommend, and you can forget about close or mid-range firefights. A car or a sniper rifle are your best friends here!
Call of Duty Warzone New Map Features
Don’t forget that at least there are additional gameplay besides the core BR gameplay, and the core has added some incredibly important changes that certainly can’t be overlooked.
Ziplines
These, as the name implies, transport players via ziplines to various locations on the map. A recently installed horizontal zipline quickly moves players. Because there are a lot of Points of Interest (POIs) dispersed throughout the map, this feature improves your odds of surviving a battle. A few of these ziplines link to stationary drones that float. You can, however, also utilize them to explore new areas and act as escape routes thanks to the height gained.
Drivable Train
If horizontal and vertical ziplines doesn’t suit you, you can use one of the biggest innovations – the drivable train. The driver can choose the speed and direction of the train from the driver’s seat, but the last team can apply the handbrake. And the team holding the cab must push it all the way back to release it. But players have to be careful – enemy operators can take over trains just as easily. Enemies can enter with the rear end open and use the handbrakes to stop it. The only option available to players is to participate in this kind of interaction.
Coyote Vehicle
Coyote is a lightly-armored off-road vehicle. Its offensive capabilities are greatly increased when its mobility is paired with a Mounted machine gun. With this addition to the vehicle roster, Warzone players can travel through the rough and dusty streets of Urzikstan with greater assurance.
In addition to being a means of transportation, the “Coyote” doubles as a mobile stronghold from which players can launch attacks or retreat as needed. The presence of this vehicle highlights maneuverability and firepower in a package ideal for the demanding and varied environment of Urzikstan.
Night Gulag
Being a public event, the Night Vision Gulag will occur at random. So be ready to battle in both normal, well-lit environments and the dark. Night vision goggles will be provided to players upon entry to the Night Vision Gulag. To outsmart your opponent, you’ll need to use awareness and positioning.
Once you defeat them, you can re-enter the Warzone. You may not be able to see your opponent right away. But you will still have access to the same arsenal of weapons and equipment as in the regular Gulag because of the loadout.
Additional Warzone Maps
The Resurgence game mode gave players two maps in addition to unique gameplay:
- Ashika Island – Known by the nickname “Isle of the Sea Lion,” Ashika Island is a part of a small archipelago in the Asia Pacific region that is situated in an undisclosed location;
- Vondel Warzone map – Anticipate a variety of narrow urban streets and canals, larger buildings to thoroughly investigate (both inside and out), a high degree of verticality, and strategies to thwart those who exploit it, such as parkour routes and plenty of hidden passageways to uncover.
In this guide we tried to highlight all crucial features on how to play new Warzone map, its location and POI’s. So, that’s all you need to know about MW3 Warzone new map Urzikstan to dominate the battlefield.
