WoW Forever also contains several new mount families beyond this core list. These include Warden Sabers, Devilsaurs, and Druid Moose variants. Their value goes beyond another recolor to collect. World of Warcraft Forever spreads mounts across more systems, giving collectors reasons to touch PvP, reputation, professions, and account progression; that’s why Unlocking Mounts is essential.
WoW Forever Galestrider Mounts
The Galestrider mounts from WoW Forever are the racial mounts for the Skyborne race. They are large, wind-bird-like mounts that are available in different colors. Standard Galestrider mounts are:
Skyborne characters can later upgrade Galestrider to faster versions:
- Swift Empyrean Galestrider;
- Swift Regal Galestrider;
- Swift Stormy Galestrider;
- Swift Umber Galestrider.
Genn Fairweather is the Stablemaster and Riding Trainer in Zephras Isle. Standard Galestrider needs level 40 and Galestrider Riding. The mounts are one of the most evident visual changes in WoW Forever. Starting as a Skyborne race, you will encounter them naturally due to racial questing.
WoW Forever Warden Saber Mounts
Warden Sabers in WoW Forever are a recently introduced type of saber mount with their own special armored appearance, making them stand out from the usual Night Elf racial saber mounts. The WoW Forever Warden Saber mounts include:
- Black Warden Saber Mount;
- Brown Warden Saber Mount;
- Gray Warden Saber Mount;
- White Warden Saber Mount.
Their exact sources are not confirmed yet, but Warden Sabers are separate from standard Night Elf racial mounts and should come from dedicated WoW Forever content.
WoW Forever Devilsaur Mounts
Among the unique mounts recently introduced is the Devil Saur family from WoW Forever. Rather than battling such creatures in locations such as Un’Goro, you can add these rideable Devil Saur mounts to your collection:
- Black Devilsaur Mount;
- Blue Devilsaur Mount;
- Green Devilsaur Mount;
- Purple Devilsaur Mount;
- White Devilsaur Mount.
There is also a Venomhide Ravasaur, although it belongs to a separate Ravasaur mount set rather than the five-mount Devilsaur set.
WoW Forever Druid Moose Mounts
Another new set of mounts is Druid Moose in WoW Forever. In spite of the name, these are just regular collectible mounts, not substitutes for Druids’ Travel Form. The WoW Forever Druid Moose mounts are:
- Black Druid Moose Mount;
- Green Druid Moose Mount;
- Gray Druid Moose Mount;
- White Druid Moose Mount.
All four belong to the same Moose family and can be added to the regular mount collection.
WoW Forever How to Get Mounts
To obtain your first WoW Forever mounts, you need to reach the necessary level and learn riding for your race. Normal riding is available once you reach level 40 and enables you to ride 60% speed ground mounts. Mount acquisition opens up far more after that first purchase. You can earn additional WoW Forever mounts through:
- Racial mount vendors;
- Reputation rewards;
- PvP ranks;
- Class quests;
- Legacy progression;
- Rare dungeon and raid drops;
- Merchant’s Favor;
- Special questlines;
- Game editions and promotions.
Also, every race has a unique racial riding type and its own mount type. In the case of Skyborne races, you need to learn Galestrider Riding. Once you attain the required level, go to your racial riding trainer. The process of skill acquisition will cover most of the cost, but you need to Level Up first, and we can help you with that.
WoW Forever Riding Skill
The WoW Forever riding system uses the Burning Crusade riding method instead of the Vanilla riding price model. Riding training is the pricey aspect of it all, but the mount itself is much cheaper. There are basically two types of ground mounts.
| Riding Tier | Required Level | Mount Speed | Riding Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apprentice Riding | 40 | +60% Ground Speed | 80 Gold |
| Journeyman Riding | 60 | +100% Ground Speed | 900 Gold |
Level 40 mounts cost an extra 20 Gold, putting the regular mounts up to 100 Gold. Level 60 mounts, epics, will also usually cost 100 Gold more, making the tier 1,000 Gold. Reputation and PvP discounts reduce this. This is why it is good to grind some reputation before buying an expensive mount.
The first 60% mount in WoW Forever is a massive improvement to quality of life. Journeys across Stranglethorn, Tanaris, and the Plaguelands become much shorter when you no longer need to run everywhere. Journeyman Riding doubles your base ground speed at level 60. Forever does not use flying mounts, so this speed becomes relevant at endgame.
WoW Forever Racial Mounts
Characters normally use the WoW Forever racial mount family tied to their own race:
| Race | Mount Family | Examples | Required Reputation for Other Races |
|---|---|---|---|
| Human | Horses | Pinto, Brown Horse, Chestnut Mare | Stormwind |
| Dwarf | Rams | Brown Ram, Gray Ram, White Ram | Ironforge |
| Night Elf | Sabers | Spotted Frostsaber, Striped Frostsaber, Striped Nightsaber | Darnassus |
| Gnome | Mechanostriders | Blue, Green, Red, Unpainted Mechanostrider | Gnomeregan Exiles |
| Orc | Wolves | Brown Wolf, Dire Wolf, Timber Wolf | Orgrimmar |
| Undead | Skeletal Horses | Blue, Brown, Red Skeletal Horse | Undercity |
| Tauren | Kodos | Brown Kodo, Gray Kodo | Thunder Bluff |
| Troll | Raptors | Emerald, Turquoise, Violet Raptor | Darkspear Trolls |
| Skyborne | Galestriders | Empyrean, Regal, Stormy, Umber Galestrider | High Order (Alliance) / Windshapers (Horde) |
In order to obtain racial mounts of other races, you need Exalted reputation with the capital faction of that particular race. Some examples are: Horde players require Exalted status with the capital faction of Orgrimmar, Thunderbluff, Darkspear Trolls, and Undercity for Wolves, Kodos, Raptors, and Skeletal Horses, respectively. Likewise, Alliance characters will require Exalted status with Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, and Gnomeregan exiles. The Galestrider mounts follow a similar method.
✏️ Fast racial mounts become available alongside Journeyman Riding at level 60. These versions provide 100% increased ground speed.
WoW Forever Reputation Mounts
Reputation mounts in WoW Forever reward progress with factions rather than simply reaching a riding level. Some require direct reputation standing, while others use currencies earned alongside that faction. Available WoW Forever reputation mounts are:
Pack Kodo
The Pack Kodo is a reputation WoW Forever mount tied to the new supply factions and Merchant’s Favor currency. To get the Pack Kodo, you need 6,000 Merchant’s Favor. The mount is available from:
- Huey Sunnydale in Redridge Mountains for Alliance players;
- Okamache in The Barrens for Horde players.
Merchant’s Favor mainly comes from completing Waylaid Crates. Fill each crate with the requested profession materials, then turn it in to your faction’s supply organization. Alliance players work with the Azeroth Commerce Authority, while Horde players progress through Durotar Supply and Logistics. Also, you can get your Pack Kodo with the help of our team with zero grind.
Winterspring Frostsaber
One of the best-known reputation mounts for Alliance players on WoW Forever is the Winterspring Frostsaber. In order to acquire the mount, you will have to gain reputation with the Wintersaber Trainers located in Winterspring. Unlike some other mounts, the Winterspring Frostsaber does not require you to defeat any particular boss, but it still needs some effort to be made. Or, just ask our team, and we’ll get you a Winterspring Frostsaber in the blink of an eye.
WoW Forever PvP Mounts
PvP mounts in WoW Forever can be unlocked via the new Rank Point system. The Black War Mounts will be unlocked starting at PvP Rank 11, which translates into the Commander title for the Alliance and the Lieutenant General title for the Horde. You earn rank via Rank Points instead of using your Honor points. Honor points continue to serve as the currency for PvP purchases.
Alliance Black War Mounts include:
Horde Black War Mounts include:
Reaching Rank 11 is not a casual afternoon task. The ranking system uses weekly progression, so this collection takes sustained PvP play. Alterac Valley also has faction-specific mounts tied to its reputation progression.
WoW Forever Class Mounts
The class mounts in WoW Forever are linked to the particular classes and quest lines. The classes such as Paladins and Warlocks continue to be considered those that have their mounts:
- Paladin: Warhorse, Charger, Forsaken Warhorse, Forsaken Charger;
- Warlock: Felsteed, Dreadsteed.
WoW Forever Paladin Mounts
Paladins have their own class mounts in WoW Forever, unlocked through Paladin-specific progression rather than normal racial mount vendors. The WoW Forever Paladin mounts include:
- Warhorse;
- Charger;
- Forsaken Warhorse;
- Forsaken Charger.
While Human and Dwarf Paladins still get the usual mounts of Warhorse and Charger, the Undead Paladins can get a unique version for each thanks to their class quests. In general, you can unlock the Paladin Epic Mount with the help of our team to save time.
WoW Forever Warlock Mounts
Warlocks also keep their traditional class mounts in WoW Forever. These mounts come from Warlock-specific progression and use demonic horse models instead of normal racial mounts. The WoW Forever Warlock mounts include:
- Felsteed;
- Dreadsteed.
The Felsteed is the earlier Warlock mount, while the Dreadsteed is the faster level 60 version.
WoW Forever Legacy Mounts
Legacy mounts in WoW Forever are rewarded for your account-wide progress in the Legacy System. Rather than grinding on one boss or vendor, you earn them by completing Legacy Challenges in various areas. The current Legacy mount is:
You can obtain the Spectral Bear by earning 55 Legacy Points. You earn Legacy Points by doing various activities, such as levelling, professions, exploring, PvP, reputation, and others. The total number of Legacy Points required can be accomplished on a single character, but it takes time. If you want to get the Spectral Bear faster, ask our pro players for assistance.
WoW Forever Rare Mounts
To get rare mounts in WoW Forever, you can gain reputation, fight dungeon bosses, raids, and look for progression options. These are what collectors continue searching for after having covered the aspect of regular riding mounts. Some familiar Vanilla rare mounts also reappear in Forever.
| Mount | Source | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Deathcharger’s Reins | Baron Rivendare | Stratholme |
| Swift Zulian Tiger | High Priest Thekal | Zul’Gurub |
| Swift Razzashi Raptor | Bloodlord Mandokir | Zul’Gurub |
| Blue Qiraji Battle Tank | Ahn’Qiraj enemies | Temple of Ahn’Qiraj |
| Green Qiraji Battle Tank | Ahn’Qiraj enemies | Temple of Ahn’Qiraj |
| Yellow Qiraji Battle Tank | Ahn’Qiraj enemies | Temple of Ahn’Qiraj |
| Red Qiraji Battle Tank | Ahn’Qiraj enemies | Temple of Ahn’Qiraj |
| Black Qiraji Battle Tank | Ahn’Qiraj opening event | Scarab Gong questline |
Deathcharger’s Reins
Among the classic rare dungeon mounts in WoW Forever is the Deathcharger’s Reins. This mount is obtainable from Baron Rivendare, located in Stratholme. In order to acquire this mount, you need to clear the appropriate area in Stratholme and kill Baron Rivendare. No reputation or currency is needed to get Rivendare’s Deathcharger, just the dungeon grind that our team can deal with for you.
Zul’Gurub Mounts
Zul’Gurub contains two rare raid mounts in WoW Forever. These mounts can be obtained by defeating the specified bosses, as opposed to faction quests and reputation vendors. The WoW Forever mounts in Zul’Gurub are as follows:
📌 Data-mined information; subject to change.
The Swift Zulian Tiger mount can be obtained from High Priest Thekal. The Swift Razzashi Raptor mount can be acquired from Bloodlord Mandokir.
Qiraji Battle Tanks
Qiraji Battle Tanks are a unique WoW Forever mount family tied to Ahn’Qiraj. Most of them drop inside the raid, while the Black version comes from a much more limited progression path. The WoW Forever Qiraji Battle Tank mounts include:
- Blue Qiraji Battle Tank;
- Green Qiraji Battle Tank;
- Yellow Qiraji Battle Tank;
- Red Qiraji Battle Tank;
- Black Qiraji Battle Tank.
📌 Data-mined information; subject to change.
The Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red versions are made from Qiraji Resonating Crystals (e.g., Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal), which can be obtained from enemies found in Ahn’Qiraj. The use of these crystals is directly related to the raid as well. This is not the case for the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, which has its own uses as a prestige item rather than a regular mount farm.
WoW Forever Edition and Promotional Mounts
There are a few WoW Forever mounts that come from game editions rather than regular gameplay. These mounts still require the appropriate riding skill before your character can use them. The two main edition mounts are the Cerulean Prideclaw and Veteran Adventurer’s Loyal Companion.
| Mount | Source |
|---|---|
| Cerulean Prideclaw | WoW Forever upgrade packs |
| Veteran Adventurer’s Loyal Companion | Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection |
WoW Forever Flying Mounts
In WoW Forever, there are no flying mounts. The game keeps travel restricted to ground mounts only. This is where the Journeyman Riding skill becomes important at level 60 because you will have 100% ground mount capability.
WoW Forever Mounts FAQ
WoW Forever has several different mount systems, so the same acquisition rule does not apply to every reward. The answers below cover the most common questions about riding, costs, speeds, and special mounts.
What Level Do You Get a Mount in WoW Forever?
You get your first ground mount upon reaching level 40 and getting Apprentice Riding. These mounts speed up movement on foot by 60%. The next ground mounts appear after getting Journeyman Riding and reaching level 60.
How Much Does a Mount Cost in WoW Forever?
An ordinary level 40 riding cost is about 100 Gold without any discounts, and most of it depends on training. The fast riding 60 cost is about 1,000 Gold. There may be discounts because of your reputation and PvP status.
How Do You Learn Riding in WoW Forever?
Go to the riding trainer for your racial mount family after meeting the requirements. The normal racial riding will be accessible from level 40, after which is the faster level 60 racial riding. For Skyborne players, they will get Galestrider Riding instead of the normal racial riding skill.
What Is the Fastest Mount in WoW Forever?
WoW Forever mounts provide ground speed increases of 100% when using Journeyman Riding. There are a variety of mounts that can give the highest standard ground speed. There are no normal flying mounts that can beat them at endgame.
Does WoW Forever Have Flying Mounts?
No. WoW Forever does not have flying mounts. Travel remains built around ground mounts, flight paths, boats, zeppelins, and other forms of original Azeroth transportation.
Are There New Mounts in WoW Forever?
Yes. WoW Forever adds new Galestriders, Skeletal Horses, Kodos, Warden Sabers, Devilsaurs, Druid Moose mounts, and unique rewards. The game also introduces mounts tied to Legacy progression, Merchant’s Favor, and the new Undead Paladin.
How Do You Get PvP Mounts in WoW Forever?
Black War Mounts unlock at PvP Rank 11. Alliance players reach Commander, while Horde players reach Lieutenant General. Your faction then gains access to its Black War mount selection.
WoW Forever mounts give collectors far more to chase than a basic level 40 racial ride. Galestriders, Legacy rewards, PvP mounts, rare drops, and faction rewards all add separate collection paths. Start with riding first, because movement speed helps with nearly every other activity in Azeroth. PvP players can chase Black War Mounts, profession players have the Pack Kodo, and completionists can lose plenty of evenings to Stratholme. That feels pretty appropriate for WoW.
