WoW Classic Anniversary Phase 5 Release Date

Phase 5 of WoW Classic Fresh launches July 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM PDT. When the new phase begins, both factions start the Ahn’Qiraj War Effort. At the same time, guilds start completing the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain.

These two events are only the beginning: as soon as the requirements of both are met, you will face the Ten Hour War. This is the best thing about classic World of Warcraft, and a chance for the bravest players to prove their skill. So, there are five major milestones in Phase 5 of WoW Classic Fresh:

WoW Classic Fresh Phase 5 The War Effort

The War Effort in WoW Classic Fresh Phase 5 is a huge server-wide event where both factions — Alliance and Horde — need to gather and turn in materials (Ahn’Qiraj War Effort Supplies) to prepare for war in Silithus. Players must turn in huge quantities of supplies like Linen Bandages, Copper Bars, and Peacebloom.

Once both factions are done with gathering the required amount of resources, the gates will open, marking the beginning of a new challenging questline, but most importantly, the start of raiding. Here’s a list of required War Effort resources for both Alliance and Horde in WoW Classic Anniversary Phase 5:

WoW Classic Fresh Bang a Gong

Once all resources are gathered and the gates are open, the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain begins. This questline is legendary among WoW Classic players, and it is long, complex, and limited in time. Only one player per server can ring the gong first and earn the Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal, which summons the unique Black Qiraji Battle Tank.

To complete the chain, players must farm Brood of Nozdormu reputation, collect special items like the Red Scepter Shards and Blue Scepter Shards, and battle powerful world bosses. The final step is to Bang a Gong during the Ten Hour War.

📌 Note: Only those who finish the quest before the war begins will get the title Scarab Lord and the mount.

There are 6 bosses in the raid, including General Rajaxx and Ossirian the Unscarred. The raid is a great starting point for groups or guilds that are not yet ready for AQ40. Additionally, it drops epic gear and reputation items for the Cenarion Circle faction.
