Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2, also called Landfall, is the first major post-launch content update. Players will get access to a new story campaign, unlock two new factions with daily quests and rewards, and take part in the brand-new Brawler’s Guild event. On top of this, access to item upgrades for higher gear levels is also unlocked in Phase 2.

Phase 2 of Mists of Pandaria Classic goes live on September 23, 2025, for NA realms and September 24, 2025, for EU realms. This update marks the next big step in the Pandaria storyline, introducing the Landfall campaign, new scenarios, the Brawler’s Guild, the Item Upgrade system, and multiple PvP quality-of-life improvements.
The launch also coincides with free character transfers to the new “mega servers,” created to help consolidate low-population realms and improve faction balance. Players can move to designated realms like Pagle (PvE) and Grobbulus (PvP) at no cost, making it a great opportunity to join an active community or find a healthier faction ratio. Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 Scenarios
MoP Classic Phase 2 introduces five new scenarios, short 3-player instances designed to tell key parts of the Pandaria story without requiring a full dungeon group. They take around 10–15 minutes to complete and reward Valor Points, gear, and reputation with your faction.
The new MoP scenarios include:
- Assault on Zan’Vess – Assist the Klaxxi in taking down Mantid defenses.
- A Little Patience – Help King Varian reclaim the Temple of the Red Crane.
- Dagger in the Dark – Join Vol’jin in scouting a Saurok-infested cavern.
- Lion’s Landing – Defend the Alliance’s stronghold.
- Domination Point – Defend the Horde’s stronghold.
📌 In the original Mists of Pandaria Retail, A Little Patience and Dagger in the Dark were faction-exclusive scenarios. However, in MoP Classic both are available to Alliance and Horde players from day one.
These scenarios offer quick, repeatable content that ties directly into the Landfall campaign. They are also a good source of Valor and reputation while progressing the storyline.
Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 Gear Upgrades
MoP Classic Item Upgrade System also releases with Phase 2 and gives players a new way to increase their character power. This system allows you to spend currency to raise the item level of your gear.
You can upgrade gear by visiting the Item Upgrade NPC. Said NPC can be found next to the Transmogrifier and Reforger in the Shrine of Seven Stars (Alliance) or Shrine of Two Moons (Horde). The upgrade process is simple. All you need to do is select the piece you want to improve, confirm the cost, and the system will apply a flat item level increase.
The costs and upgrade amounts vary by gear type:

📌 Epic PvP gear cannot be upgraded, so you’ll still need to earn higher-tier PvP gear through the usual Conquest Point progression.

Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 Story Campaign
The story of MoP Classic Phase 2 is the Landfall Campaign, which takes place in the Krasarang Wilds. Players can accept daily quests for rare mob hunting and resource gathering as they build their faction’s presence in the zone.
The campaign begins with the quest Meet the Scout, which will automatically appear upon login. If it did not appear automatically for you, you can pick it up from Sunwalker Dezco (Horde) or Lyalia (Alliance).
Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 New Factions
In Phase 2 of MoP Classic 2 new factions are added to Krasarang Wilds. The factions are Operation: Shieldwall for Alliance or Dominance Offensive for Horde. Both factions share the same rewards, though the items have different names.
Each faction offers a unique flying mount, the Grand Armored Gryphon for Alliance and the Grand Armored Wyvern for Horde.

Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 PvP Changes
PvP receives some positive changes and refinements in MoP Classic Phase 2. Changes are aimed at making PvP more rewarding for casual players and competitive arena teams. Here is what’s new for PvP in Phase 2:
- Group Finder Tab for PvP: You can now easily find partners for battlegrounds, arenas, and rated battlegrounds through a dedicated PvP tab in the Group Finder. This reduces the frustration of spamming chat channels to build a team.
- New Vendors: If you’ve earned 27,000 Conquest Points during Season 12, you unlock the ability to buy Conquest gear with Honor Points. This is perfect for gearing off-specs without running a full Conquest grind again.
- Increased Honor & Conquest Gains: All Honor Points gains are boosted by 50%, helping you gear up much faster. The new Conquest of the Ancients buff also speeds up Conquest catch-up on alts by granting +50% Conquest Points after your main character caps for the week.
- Arena Achievements: New achievements have been added for each arena bracket (2v2, 3v3, and 5v5).
- New Title: A new title: “Undisputed Gladiator” is now granted to all players who manage to get Gladiator rank in all three brackets during a season.
These updates improve the PvP gearing and make it easier for players to catch up.
Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 Legendary Cloak
In MoP Classic Phase 2, Wrathion’s legendary questline continues with Chapter 2: Wrathion’s War. This part of the questline focuses on the escalating faction war and asks players to participate in world PvP, win specific battlegrounds (Temple of Kotmogu and Silvershard Mines), and defeat the enemy general in Krasarang Wilds.
Completing this chapter rewards the Eye of the Black Prince, which allows you to add a prismatic socket to a Sha-Touched weapon — a key power boost going into later phases. Legendary Cloak takes a ton of work to obtain, but we can handle it for you.
Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 2 XP Gain Boost
Leveling is much faster in Phase 2 of MoP Classic thanks to a 65% XP boost from 85 to 90. This makes it the perfect time to finish leveling alts or start a new main. In addition to the XP increase, now when you reach Revered with The Black Prince, you can buy the Grand Commendation of the Black Prince. This commendation doubles reputation gains for that character and all alts on your account.
