HOME Escape From Tarkov Quests Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

Our EFT Season 1 Quests guide covers all quests and the separate KORD BREACH storyline built around Black Division and several familiar traders. The Escape from Tarkov quest chain starts with Prapor, then moves through Fence, Mechanic, Jaeger, Therapist, and Ragman. Seasonal rewards already unlocked remain available after the Escape from Tarkov Season 1 ends.

EFT Season 1 Quests Key Takeaways:

  • Kord Breach quests are available only on a Seasonal Character.
  • The main questline begins with Prapor’s Uninvited Guests – Part 1.

How to Unlock EFT Season 1 Quests

Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

To start EFT Season 1 quests, create and play a Seasonal Character in Kord Breach. The seasonal PMC starts separately from your permanent characters and follows Season 1 progression. The first major seasonal chain begins through Prapor’s Uninvited Guests – Part 1.

You need Prapor Loyalty Level 2 before Uninvited Guests – Part 1 becomes available. Current progression also requires reaching the Tour story chapter before starting this part of Kord Breach. Therapist offers Unanswered Calls as another early seasonal task.

The season changes several rules that matter during this grind. Insurance is disabled, while Black Division can appear on Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero 21+. Black Division also replaces Raiders on The Lab during EFT Season 1.

Starting Kord Breach late can leave you several levels behind the main seasonal progression. EFT Leveling can help you reach the requirements faster and move straight toward the Season 1 questline.

Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

The current EFT Season 1 questline contains the following main and side tasks. Final Stretch and Consequences of Our Decisions use the same laptop and cannot both be completed. EFT Season 1 Starting Quests

Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

The first EFT Kord Breach quests mostly involve moving quest items and visiting fixed locations. They are easier than the Black Division grind later on. Still, Uninvited Guests can waste several raids if the BTR route refuses to cooperate. The Kord Breach Starting Quests:

The early Season 1 grind also means rebuilding gear, trader progress, and your stash from scratch. An EFT Zero to Hero Bundle can cover the early progression while you focus on completing Kord Breach objectives.

EFT Uninvited Guests – Part 1

Uninvited Guests – Part 1 starts the main EFT Season 1 quests chain through Prapor. Your objective is to find a case with military equipment on Shoreline. The case can appear at one of three possible locations. The first Escape from Tarkov Season 1 quest locations are:

  • The shack beside the Sordi radio tower.
  • The second floor of the Weather Station.
  • The Hydroelectric Power Station.

Once you locate the case, extract from Shoreline alive. The item uses the quest inventory, so it does not occupy normal backpack space. Dying before extraction means another Shoreline run.

EFT Uninvited Guests – Part 2

Uninvited Guests – Part 2 continues immediately after recovering the military equipment case. This time, you need to deliver it directly to the BTR Driver. Woods and Streets of Tarkov both work for the handover.

Woods usually gives you more room to avoid other players while waiting for the BTR. The vehicle does not follow the same route every raid. If you die before the handover, you lose the quest item and must repeat Part 1.

Do not turn this raid into a loot run. Find a safe position near a BTR stop and listen for the vehicle. Tarkov already gives you enough ways to lose quest items without carrying one through every hot zone.

EFT Unanswered Calls

Therapist’s Unanswered Calls sends you to Ground Zero with her letter. You must stash it at the second-floor reception desk inside the TerraGroup office. You also need to extract from the location.

This is one of the simpler EFT Season 1 quests if you already know the TerraGroup building. Enter, reach the second floor, complete the placement, then leave. There is little reason to extend the raid after completing the objective.

EFT Cast the Net Quest

Cast the Net is the first major multi-map task in the EFT Kord Breach Season questline. Prapor gives you six Wi-Fi Cameras and sends you across three locations. You must place two cameras on each map.

MapFirst CameraSecond Camera
ShorelineUral truck near the Hydroelectric Power StationExcavator near Smugglers’ Base
Streets of TarkovConcrete mixer truck near Collapsed CraneBio toilet near Rodina cinema
Ground ZeroCargo truck cabin near Mira AveYellow bus inside the underground tunnel

Wi-Fi Cameras fit into Special Slots, making them easier to transport. You also do not need to complete all six placements during one raid. Split the task by map and keep your runs simple.

On Ground Zero, the truck sits near the ramp leading underground. The yellow bus sits farther inside the underground road. These two placements pair nicely during one run.

On Shoreline, the Power Station truck is very exposed. Smugglers’ Base gives more terrain to work around, but you still need to watch the open approaches. Streets has similar problems around the construction area.

Remember every location after planting the cameras. Reverse Gear later sends you straight back to all six spots.

EFT Season 1 Midgame Quests

Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

The middle part of the EFT Kord Breach questline shifts heavily toward Black Division farming, rare seasonal items, and multi-map objectives. These quests bridge the early Prapor tasks and the harder EFT Season 1 endgame missions. The Kord Breach Middle Quests:

EFT Know Your Enemy Quest

Know Your Enemy starts the real Black Division grind in EFT Season 1 quests. Prapor asks you to hand over five Black Division plate carriers. The task accepts Black Division carrier variants rather than ordinary armor.

The quest itself does not require these five carriers to have Found in Raid status. Still, start saving every Black Division armor piece you loot. Riding the Wave later requires specific Black Division equipment with FiR status.

Black Division can appear on Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero for level 21+ Seasonal Characters. The Lab replaces its normal Raiders with Black Division during Kord Breach. That makes Labs especially useful once you can run it comfortably.

If you mainly want the limited Kord Breach unlocks, EFT Seasonal Rewards covers the full Season 1 questline and its exclusive rewards without turning every Black Division drop into another farming session.

EFT Reverse Gear Quest

Reverse Gear is basically Cast the Net played backwards. Prapor sends you to recover all six Wi-Fi Cameras from their original locations. Each collected camera must then be handed over. The Kord Breach camera locations:

  • Shoreline: Power Station Ural truck and Smugglers’ Base excavator.
  • Streets: Collapsed Crane concrete mixer and Rodina cinema bio toilet.
  • Ground Zero: Mira Ave cargo truck and underground yellow bus.

Unlike Cast the Net, you now need to leave with the recovered quest items. Treat each map as a separate run unless you get a very favorable spawn. There is no prize for turning a simple recovery into a 40-minute raid.

Completing Reverse Gear also unlocks a barter for Gatorz Specter MILSPEC glasses through Peacekeeper. The barter uses a Black Division Token.

EFT Key to Understanding Quest

Key to Understanding moves the Kord Breach questline from Prapor to Fence. You need to obtain the Black Division encryption keys and hand them over.

Black Division operatives are the main source of the encryption keys. There is no guaranteed drop from every squad, so expect this part to become a farm rather than a single clean raid.

Streets works because Black Division can roam there naturally. The Lab becomes attractive if you want more fights per session. Loot every Black Division body instead of checking only weapons and armor.

EFT What’s in the Bag Quest

What’s in the Bag? asks you to locate a Briefcase with documents and give it to Fence. The rare briefcase can turn this into another RNG wall, although the Hideout provides another way to approach the task.

One known method uses five Black Division Tokens in the Cultist Circle. This can provide the required Briefcase with documents, so saving Tokens from earlier raids can pay off here.

This is why hoarding seasonal loot works well during Kord Breach. The questline keeps reusing Black Division drops in later objectives. Selling something unusual for a few Roubles can create another evening of grinding.

EFT Forbidden Knowledge Quest

Forbidden Knowledge requires three 14-4 KORD SSDs for Fence. All three need to be found in a raid before you hand over the intel. This is one of the heavier item grinds among the current EFT Season 1 quests.

The SSDs come from Black Division content, so keep farming their squads and checking bodies carefully. The Lab is a strong option because Black Division replaces Raiders during Kord Breach. You can combine SSD farming with equipment collection for Riding the Wave.

Do not confuse the 14-4 KORD SSD with ordinary SSD items. The quest needs the specific seasonal item, and three copies are currently required.

Repeated Black Division runs can burn through armor, ammo, meds, and Labs access surprisingly fast. Keeping enough EFT Roubles available makes the rare-item grind much less restrictive.

EFT Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing Quest

This Kord Breach Black Division quest splits its 18 required kills evenly between three locations. Check the required number for each map before starting your Black Division runs.

LocationRequired Black Division Kills
Shoreline6
Streets of Tarkov6
Ground Zero6
Total18

You must wear a qualifying Black Division plate carrier when earning each kill. Do not swap to normal armor because the objective will stop progressing. Repair a usable carrier and keep replacements ready for bad raids.

Black Division squads hit much harder than normal Scavs. Fighting them in wide open areas can go wrong quickly. Force them through doors, corners, or other positions where the entire squad cannot fire together.

EFT Final Stretch or Consequences of Our Decisions

After Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing, the EFT Season 1 questline reaches its main choice. Fence offers Final Stretch, while Mechanic provides Consequences of Our Decisions. Both routes revolve around the same laptop on Streets of Tarkov.

The laptop sits in the backyard of the Back to the 90s cafe. Once you pick it up, you must decide who gets the information. Completing one route fails the other.

EFT Final Stretch

Final Stretch is Fence’s version of the choice. Recover the laptop on Streets, extract safely, then hand the item directly to Fence. This is the simpler route because there is no Hideout decryption step.

EFT Consequences of Our Decisions

Consequences of Our Decisions is Mechanic’s alternative. Recover the same laptop, but do not give it to Fence. Use your Intelligence Center to process the data, then deliver the result to Mechanic.

Which Kord Breach Choice Should You Pick?

Other Escape from Tarkov Season 1 guides may have stated that selecting Fence would end the Mechanic quest line. This is no longer the case, as both quests end in Desperate Assault.

Both options will grant access to Profit Over Principles. Selecting Mechanic would mean additional hideout processing, whereas Fence would allow for faster transfer. The decision should be based on the quickness of the current path rather than losing the digital puzzle.

EFT Season 1 Endgame Quests

Escape From Tarkov Season 1 Quests

The late EFT Season 1 quests move away from simple item deliveries. You start hunting Black Division inside The Lab, planting explosives, destroying transmitters, and processing rare data. Digital Puzzle currently sits among the latest available tasks. EFT Kord Breach Endgame Quests are:

Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing is where the Kord Breach grind becomes much more combat-heavy. EFT Pro Player lets you run difficult objectives with an experienced teammate while keeping party-wide quest progress where supported.

EFT Desperate Assault Quest

Mechanic’s Desperate Assault requires 15 Black Division kills in The Lab. During Season 1, Black Division replaces the normal Raider population there. This creates a focused farming environment compared with roaming three outdoor maps.

Desperate Assault connects both Final Stretch and Consequences of Our Decisions with the late questline. It also opens progression toward Break the Chain and Jaeger’s explosive task.

EFT Stay Clear of Blast Zone Quest

Jaeger’s Stay Clear of Blast Zone takes place around the Health Resort on Shoreline. You need to plant three TP-200 TNT bricks at breaches in the Resort perimeter fence.

Bring the required explosives and follow the Resort’s outer perimeter. You do not need to turn this into a full Resort PvP run. Complete each placement when the area is quiet, then move away.

EFT Break the Chain Quest

The EFT Kord Breach quest locations for Break the Chain are divided between Woods and Customs. You need to destroy two Black Division transmitters on each map.

MapTransmitter Location
WoodsHigh point around Sniper Mountain
WoodsCommunication structure near Scav Bunker
CustomsFactory chimney / industrial structure near construction
CustomsPower-line structure behind the Dorms side

Use magnified optics if you struggle to spot the small devices. You only need to destroy them, so there is no reason to climb directly onto every structure. A clean line of sight is enough.

EFT Digital Puzzle Quest

Digital Puzzle is one of the most rewarding Kord Breach season quests. The Mechanic wants data extracted from a Black Division rugged laptop. This laptop is separate from the Streets laptop used during Final Stretch.

First, obtain the Black Division rugged laptop from seasonal Black Division content. Then use the required Hideout processing to decrypt its data. Hand the finished data to Mechanic to complete the task.

The big reason to finish Digital Puzzle is its storage reward. Current rewards include both a THICC Items Case and THICC Weapon Case. For a seasonal stash, that is a huge amount of space from one quest.

If the rugged laptop drops, forget the rest of the raid. Extract first and celebrate later. Farming another rare seasonal laptop because you got greedy feels exactly as bad as it sounds.

Season 1 also sends you after several rare documents, laptops, SSDs, and other quest-specific drops. EFT Documentation can cover targeted document farming when RNG starts blocking your Kord Breach progression.

EFT Riding the Wave Quest

Ragman’s Riding the Wave runs alongside the main EFT Season 1 questline. It asks for a collection of Black Division equipment with Found in Raid status. Required gear includes several Black Division plate carriers and other faction equipment.

The Black Division gear requirements for Riding the Wave cover several faction-specific armor and equipment pieces. Keep these Found in Raid items when you loot them:

Do not hand over good FiR Black Division loot blindly during Know Your Enemy. Check whether Riding the Wave still needs that exact version first. The plate carrier quest accepts broader variants, while Ragman’s task cares about specific FiR pieces.

The Lab is a natural place to work on this task later. You can farm equipment while progressing Desperate Assault and searching for other seasonal drops. That cuts several separate grinds into the same set of raids.

Best Way to Farm Black Division for Season 1 Quests

The Black Division farm occupies a central role in the majority of EFT Season 1 missions that follow. EFT Season 1 permits these operatives to operate on Shoreline, Streets, and Ground Zero 21+. The Lab takes over from Raiders for Black Division. For focused EFT Black Division farming, prioritize maps like this:

  1. The Lab — works well for frequent Black Division fighting and quest progression.
  2. Streets of Tarkov — comes in handy for roving parties and a number of seasonal quest objectives.
  3. Shoreline — necessary for completing the Sheep in Wolves Clothing quest and a few fixed objectives.
  4. Ground Zero 21+ — compulsory for six Sheep in Wolves Clothing kills.

EFT Items to Keep for Season 1 Quests

Several EFT Season 1 quest items can drop long before their related tasks become available. The table below shows which Black Division items are worth saving and where you will need them later. Here are Items to Keep for Kord Breach Quests:

ItemWhy You Should Keep It
Black Division plate carriersKnow Your Enemy and Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing
FiR Black Division equipmentRiding the Wave
Black Division TokensSeasonal exchanges and the Briefcase method
14-4 KORD SSDThree required for Forbidden Knowledge
Black Division encryption keysKey to Understanding
Briefcase with documentsWhat’s in the Bag?
Black Division rugged laptopDigital Puzzle
Other unusual Black Division gearMay match Riding the Wave requirements

Do not sell rare seasonal items just because their trader value looks decent. Kord Breach has several progression walls based on low-frequency Black Division drops. Stashing them early can save many raids later.

EFT Season 1 Quest Rewards

The EFT Season 1 quest rewards include experience, Roubles, equipment, trader offers, achievements, and permanent Seasonal Rewards. Battlestate also ties the Kord Breach chain to new Operational Tasks and special trade offers.

The Kord Breach quest rewards become much more valuable near the end of the seasonal storyline. Some of the most notable unlocks and rewards include:

Unlocked Seasonal Rewards stay available outside the temporary Season 1 progression. That gives the questline value beyond the fresh seasonal stash itself. Anything you specifically want should still be unlocked before Kord Breach ends on December 7, 2026.
