Black Ops 7 Release Date

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 will be released on November 14th, 2025, as one of the largest COD drops in several years. The release is across every main platform, such as the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, as well as computer by way of Steam, Battle.net, as well as the Xbox app. Game Pass members can play on day one with Game Pass Ultimate, PC, or Console memberships.

However, before the final release, there will be two beta phases. The pre-access event runs between October 2–5, 2025, for Game Pass subscribers or anyone who pre-ordered the game.

Then an open beta runs from October 5–8, 2025, so everyone can get a chance to experience the game on the new hardware. Both sessions will kick off at 10 AM PT and will feature a rotation of multiplayer maps and modes.

📌 Early and Open beta differ in terms of available content. More maps, zones and features will become available on October 5.

Black Ops 7 Maps

Black Ops 7 Overview

Black Ops 7 arrives with one of the most varied map rosters in years. Even prior to launch, the pre-release beta allows fans a glimpse of small combat areas as well as big battlefields.

During the Early Beta period (October 2–5), four main maps are accessible:

  • The Forge;
  • Cortex;
  • Exposure;
  • Vandorn Farm.

Their design supports the new Omnimovement system, meaning the map considers vertical movement scenarios as much as creative positioning. The Vandorn Farm area will be a survival location for Zombies tests as much as it will be a unique map that can be played on both modes.

Once the Open Beta starts on October 5-8, the pool will increase by a further three maps:

  • Blackheart;
  • Toshin.

At full release, Black Ops 7 will include 16 multiplayer maps built for 6v6 and 2 larger arenas for 20v20 battles:

  • Scar;
  • Homestead;
  • Blackheart;
  • Den;
  • Colossus;
  • Toshin;
  • Flagship;
  • Mission: Tide;
  • Retrieval;
  • Paranoia;
  • The Forge;
  • Exposure;
  • Mission: Edge;
  • Cortex;
  • Imprint;
  • Raid;
  • Express;
  • Hijacked.

Black Ops 7 Features

Black Ops 7 propels Call of Duty into a new generation with features built to disrupt both Zombies and multiplayer. These include:

  • New maps;
  • Multiplayer mode;
  • Zombies mode & Survival traning;
  • Omnimovement system;
  • New Weapon Prestige;
  • Enhanced anti-cheat (Secure Boot + TPM 2.0 on PC);
  • Endgame campaign;
  • Zombies Augments system;
  • Distinct cosmetics.

The headline feature of Call of Duty BO7 this year is Omnimovement, a new movement system that lets you chain slides, wall jumps, and momentum-based maneuvers like never before. Alongside this, the classic Prestige system is back. This time, it offers you the chance to reset progress after maxing out the level and chase exclusive rewards.

Security is being addressed as well. On the PC, the beta will need Secure Boot as well as TPM 2.0 enabled, a sign that Activision has in store a stronger anti-cheat wall come launch day. Meanwhile, cosmetics are being redesigned: operators as well as gun skins from Black Ops 6 will not carry over. Of course, the new BO7  Campaign will also arrive, and it will become your intro into the new CoD. Complete the campaign with our team to deal with it fast and easily.

Will Multiplayer Return in Black Ops 7?

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 multiplayer is what many players are waiting for. In BO7, multiplayer has some changes that are aimed at overall improvements. Progression in Black Ops 7 gets a much-overdue overhaul. Also, a much-appreciated Prestige system return means that once you reach max level, you can reset for a chance at unique rewards that many fondly asked for years ago.

The BO7 beta shows a rich set of game modes ranging from classics such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Kill Confirmed, up to an entirely new Overload game mode. In Overload, teams deploy a device to an enemy area that detonates with a colossal blast, presenting new strategic prospects.

Finally, you must have Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 enabled to access the beta and to play the game further on release. With new mechanics, a mix of classic and modern modes, and stricter systems in place, Black Ops 7 multiplayer is built to define the next era of online play.

Will Zombies Mode Return in Black Ops 7?

The Zombies mode returns in Call of Duty Black Ops 7, and it just might be the strongest interpretation of survival yet, with the crew of Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya. Special attention should be given to the Ashes of the Damned — the largest round-based Zombies map ever created. Also, for the first time, developers introduce the Augments system in Zombies. These upgrades act as permanent boosts that carry across matches.

During beta, you have a chance to test Zombies Survival Training. Survival map introduces the Ashes of the Damned, and it’s the best time to see what BO7 will bring in Zombies mode. The beta preview also showed player experience with Vandorn Farm as a multiplayer as well as a Zombies map.

Black Ops 7 Zombies Cursed Mode

Cursed mode is the new mode for Black Ops 7 Zombies. Your primary task in this mode is to look for Relics in the Dark Aether that will help you to deal with debuff modifiers. The mode is described as the hard one, so it’ll be a true survival experience for us.

You start with the pistol only, so you need to be prepared to witness lots of difficulties and dangerous moments.

Black Ops 7 Zombies Survival Training

Until the BO7 arrival, you can experience Zombies Survival Training, challenging players to master survival basics. While the complete Ashes of the Damned map scenario involves long walks between areas of action at a leisurely pace, Survival consists of waiting it out inside the limited bounds of the farmstead with little space for movement.

The Survival Training offers you to complete the following objectives:

  • Regain power for the farm;
  • Gear up;
  • Fight for as long as you can.

All the caches and machines for Standard Mode stay in the same areas, but lacking items such as Pack-a-Punch or Der Wunderfizz are directly dropped on the Survival map. In this way, even in a small arena map, groups will be able to fully outfit their guns and perks as long as they possess enough Salvage and Essence.

Black Ops 7 Progression

Black Ops 7 Overview

Progression in Black Ops 7 aims to blend the old Call of Duty leveling curve with some fresh reward paths and customization options. During gameplay, you’ll earn weapons, perks, equipment, gear, and slots for customization, all while going through the military ranks, gaining entry into the Prestige mode, as well as seeking weapon mastery.

At launch, the full Progression system includes:

  • A base level cap (to be reached before entering Prestige);
  • Prestige levels beyond max rank, allowing repeated resets for unique rewards;
  • Weapon Prestige / Weapon Mastery, so your guns evolve as you use them;
  • Challenges, Seasonal Events, and Camo Mastery systems layered on top;
  • Loadout and gear customization, letting you tailor weapons, attachments, perks, equipment;
  • A Reward Feed / Track Your Progress interface, showing what you’ve unlocked and what’s upcoming;
  • Carry-forward cosmetic rewards (from beta) that will transfer to the full game.

In Black Ops 7, the standard progression peaks at Military Rank 55, when you may choose to enter Classic Prestige. The Prestige system itself has 10 Prestige levels. On top of all this, Weapon Prestige returns too: you can Prestige one weapon two times, and our team can help you to do it fast and easy. After that, you can grind it to Level 250 (Weapon Prestige Master) to unlock exclusive attachments, camos, and rewards.

Black Ops 7 Weapon Prestige

Black Ops 7 introduces an all-new Weapon Prestige system for those who enjoy perfecting their arms. Each gun now has its own progressive track, divided into two prestiges as well as an ending master tier.

You begin by leveling a weapon all the way up to Level 50 before you can enter the first Weapon Prestige. Reaching this level resets all of your attachments except for optics, but cosmetic unlocks remain. The first prestige reward is distinct: all guns reward an exclusive special attachment, an exclusive permanent mod unlock for one mod, as well as an exclusive camo.

Attaining second Weapon Prestige unlocks another permanent add-on, another weapon charm, and another camo. Weapon Prestige Master leveling continues until Level 250, but the power grows faster now, and there are reward thresholds at Levels 100, 150, 200, as well as the cap where the signature camo lies in waiting. At the end of it all, all the attachments for the assigned weapon permanently unlock.

Black Ops 7 Camos Mastery

The new BO7 weapon progression maps directly onto mastery camos for all game modes. Each of the playlists has its own set of cosmetics, and completing them is an infinite quest for the collectors:

  • Campaign skins: Molten Gold, Moonstone, Chroma Flux, Genesis;
  • Multi-player camos: Shattered Gold, Arclight, Tem;
  • Zombies cams: Golden Dragon, Bloodstone, Doomsteel, Inf;
  • Warzone camouflage: Golden Damascus, Starglass, Absolute Zero, Apocalypse;
  • Weapon Prestige camos: taking cues from legendary designs of past Black Ops titles.

Black Ops 7 Beta Progression

In Black Ops 7 beta progression track is similar to the release version. The beta also provides an interesting sampling of the progression cycle, but in an incomplete fashion. While the game was in its Early Access phase, the progression limit sat at Level 20, but the Open Beta turns it up to Level 30.

Within those levels, you will unlock a mix of weapons, default loadouts, perks, Scorestreaks, and customization options. At Level 4, for example, Custom Loadouts become available.

The beta also includes beta rewards assigned for some levels: cosmetics like emblems, stickers, weapon charms, operator skins, loading screens, calling cards, and a weapon blueprint. Those are earned during beta and will carry over into your Black Ops 7 collection at release.

📌 BO7 beta progression does not fully carry over. While these cosmetic unlocks will, your full level, weapon unlocks, and gear choices will reset at launch.
