In the Season of Discovery, Scarlet Monastery holds immense potential for efficient leveling. Understanding the intricacies of layout and strategically choosing the right dungeon wings can significantly boost your XP gains. Let’s delve into Scarlet Monastery in-depth leveling guide to help you navigate this dungeon for optimal results.
Scarlet Monastery Leveling Strategy
Here are some examples of how to maximize your Scarlet Monastery leveling process and use this dungeon to its full potential:
- Level 31: If players are geared enough and can complete the Graveyard in 10 minutes or less, then it is a good time to mix Graveyard and Library. Clear Graveyard, run to Library, kill the hallway after the first boss, and run out, reset, and repeat.
- Level 34: Graveyard becomes a dead wing as the XP gained from it is too small. Run Library and skip the first and the second boss, kill all enemies, reset and repeat.
- Level 36: There are two options on the wings, Armory and Library. If your team is a good one and can clear Armory in 15 minutes or less then Armory will give the best XP/Hour. Otherwise, keep clearing Library till 37.
- Level 37: The best dungeon wing for leveling is open for players, the Cathedral. This is the second smallest wing in the area of all the wings and has a big open field where players can use AOE spells to maximize kills and XP/Hour.
- Level 37-43: Players should not run any of the other wings except for Cathedral. However, if you still need loot from the other wings then it is a better option to go there.
After reaching level 43, it is better to choose another dungeon in order to handle the leveling process more efficiently and reach SoD Phase 3 level cap faster. The best choice is Zul’Farrak, which our professional players are ready to complete for you.
In the table below you will find information about how much XP you can get in each dungeon:

Timing and Lockouts
Dungeons in Season of Discovery can always be accessed as long as you have the minimum level required to enter. What level is best for Scarlet Monastery? To unlock Scarlet Monastery you need to have 21 level character or higher, but Scarlet Monastery level range from 26 to 45 is recommended. However, that does not mean that you can do them forever in a short amount of time.
Players can clear any dungeon 5 times per hour and 30 times daily. Nevertheless, Scarlet Monastery is technically a single dungeon that has 4 wings that count as separate dungeons with a single lockout. Therefore, players can run all 4 wings before needing to reset the dungeons, thus minimizing the number of resets and preventing daily lockouts.
If you want to get the most out of Scarlet Monastery but aren’t ready to go through it multiple times every day, take advantage of our Hourly Boost and level up even when you’re AFK.

Scarlet Monastery is an amazing place located in Tirisfal Glade with 4 wings that vary in levels, but there is always a better wing to choose before lockout stops you from leveling, here are examples of which wing to choose for each range of level.
| Level Range | Recommended Wing | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 26-36 | Graveyard | Start in the Graveyard wing, suitable for levels 26 to 36. |
| 29-39 | Graveyard + Library | Transition to the Library wing around level 29 and continue through the Graveyard for efficient leveling. |
| 34-36 | Library | Focus on the Library wing for levels 34 to 36. |
| 32-42 | Armory (Consider Library if not optimal) | If your team composition or gear is not optimal, consider continuing in the Library as Armory has intense healing from enemies, potentially slowing down the run. |
| 35-45 | Cathedral | If confident, choose Cathedral for levels 35 to 45. Utilize big pulls in the open field for efficient power leveling, taking advantage of the ability to gather and kill large groups of mobs together. |
