4.9What Is Sanctified Gear in Season of Discovery?
In World of Warcraft Season of Discovery, we have two new additions in Phase 7. They are Sanctified Gear and Seal of the Dawn. Both of them enhance player powers in Naxxramas Raid.
So, Sanctified gear is a new gear coming with Phase 7. These items have new capabilities and are a must for progression in Naxxramas raid. Sanctified gear works similarly to Timesworn gear from Phase 6, and provides a set bonus when equipped in Naxxramas raid.
You can equip all 3 pieces of gear, or start with only one item — the bonus will work once you enter the Raid. However, the power of the bonus depends on several factors:
- The amount of the equipped pieces of Sanctified gear;
- The Seal of Dawn level;
- The difficulty level of the Raid.
To be able to get and equip Sanctified gear and conquer the Naxxramas raid, you can Level Up your character with our team. It’s much easier than doing it on your own, and also much faster.
How to Obtain Sanctified Gear
Season of Discovery Phase 7 Sanctified gear can be obtained from several main sources:
- Scourge Invasions;
- Karazhan Crypts;
- Arnaments of the Battle Quest;
- Crafted Gear.
Scourge Invasions Sanctified Gear
During the Scourge Invasions event, you can get Hands, Chests, and Wrists. Gathering these 3 pieces will grant you a bonus:
🔍 Treats your Seal of the Dawn bonus as if you were wearing 2 additional pieces of Sanctified armor.

Karazhan Crypts Sanctified Gear
Once you obtain the 3-piece Scourge set, you become 5/8 Sanctified. To become 8/8 Sanctified, you will need to take extra steps and visit Karazhan Crypts. where you can get even more gear pieces.
Visiting Karazhan Crypts dungeon will allow you to gather Head, Hands, Waists, Legs, and Feet. We do not know yet whether all five slots will be available for every type of gear. If any information will be released, we will update this section of our guide.

Seal of the Dawn in Season of Discovery
What is the Seal of the Dawn? In a nutshell, it is a bonus granted for equipping Sanctified items inside the Naxxramas Raid. The bonus starts at a 1.25% power increase per Sanctified item at Rank 1 Aspirant’s Seal of the Dawn and can go all the way up to 37.5% per item with Highlord’s Seal of the Dawn Rank 10.
The Seal of the Dawn Bonus by Role
Seals of the Dawn come in 3 types, depending on the stats increased:
- Increasing damage and health — ideal for Damage Dealers;
- Increasing threat and damage — good for Tanks;
- Increasing healing and health — a choice for Healers.

How to Get the Seal of the Dawn
At the start of the Naxxramas raid, you will meet an NPC who gives a quest Hope Begins in the Dark. The quest itself includes one basic task: “Receive the Seal of the Dawn”. Here you can pick the required Rune for your role — Aspirant’s Seal of the Dawn for Damage Dealers, Aspirant’s Seal of the Dawn for Tanks, and Aspirant’s Seal of the Dawn for Healers.
But completing the raid is no easy task. This is one of the biggest raids in WoW Classic, and it takes a lot of time to investigate each part of it. Additionally, if you play with pugs, it may be challenging to take down bosses on the first attempt. Complete the Naxxramas Raid with our team to defeat all 15 bosses fast and with professional players by your side.
How to Rank Up Your Seal of Dawn
To increase the Rank of the Seal of Dawn and therefore to upgrade and enhance Sanctified gear, you need to obtain Remnants of Valor. Every week, you can spend a predetermined amount of Remnants of Valor to upgrade your Seal. Thus, you can farm it as much as you want to be prepared for weekly upgrades.
According to the Seal the Deal quest, your first upgrade will cost you 150 Remnants of Valor. How much it takes to upgrade all the way to Rank 10 is yet unknown.

- Naxxramas raid bosses — killing bosses will grant you the Remnants, and the higher the difficulty, the better the reward;

- Laid to Rest quest — this repeatable quest will most likely grant you a small amount of the Remnants.
4.9Seal of the Dawn and Sanctified Gear are crucial upgrades in WoW Classic Season of Discovery Phase 7. Seal of the Dawn is a requirement for anyone grinding undead-heavy areas, and the way you can obtain it makes it an attainable but worthwhile PvE piece.
