The quests of Paladin mostly involve the obtaining of a Libram, for example, the Libram of Judgement which is used to unlock Crusader Strike. To initiate the process of discovering a Paladin Rune, follow these steps:
- Equip the Libram: Slot the required Libram into your Relic slot.
- Build Inspiration: To gain stacks of Building Inspiration, perform actions assigned to the equipped Libram. Ensure that you strictly follow the criteria set for each Libram.
- Achieve Inspiration: After you have gathered enough Building Inspiration, activate the Inspired buff by fulfilling the requirements of the Libram. It often means to reach a certain number of stacks.
- Learn the Rune: With Inspired buff active, click on the equipped Libram to unleash the associated Rune.
Note that the process of obtaining a Rune is related to the Libram you have equipped, and trying to work on multiple Runes at the same time will cause the loss of Building Inspiration stacks.

The Ring Runes enhance your jewelry and grant additional buffs and bonuses. Only one Rune can be equipped at a time, so players must choose based on their strategy.

Paladins can collect this rune by clicking the black book in Faldir’s Cove, Arathi Highlands at /way 34.1, 80.5. The entrance to this location is a tunnel southeast of Stromgarde Keep at /way 21, 75. Only characters who can use this rune will see it.

Head to the Shimmering Flats in Thousand Needles, specifically at /way 80, 77. Inside a small goblin house, you’ll find a black tome containing the Rune of Meditation. Interact with it to acquire the rune.

To find the Shield of Righteousness, follow these steps:
- In Eastern Plaguelands, kill the Slack-Jawed Ghoul and release the Dwarf Spirit Orthas. This ghoul has a large patrol area, typically found in the southern part of the zone between the Undercroft and Corrin’s Crossing (/way 35, 75 and /way 29, 82)
- Go to the second floor of the house in Corrin’s Crossing to find and retrieve Orthas’ spirit hammer.
- Accept the quest Oh No Ye Don’t! and loot the Partially-Digested Plate Armor from Abomination or Stitched Horror in Eastern Plaguelands.
- Enter the Undead side of Stratholme and kill Maleki the Pallid to loot a runestone from him.
- Take the runestone to the Undercroft in Eastern Plaguelands. The small crypt is located in the southwestern region of Eastern Plaguelands near coordinates /way 27.5 85.

- Squire Cuthbert provides a quest that rewards you with Dalton’s Horn. This item allows you to summon your squire.
- Fight mobs alongside your squire to help him gain levels. Once he reaches level 60, you will receive a new quest called A Time to Kill.
- This quest directs you to Eastern Plaguelands to find a lich named Arkonos the Cursed, located at coordinates 87, 40 in the Noxious Glade, just north of Light’s Hope Chapel.
- Upon arrival, your squire will provide a new quest to dismantle a barrier surrounding the lich. Summon your squire with Dalton’s Horn if he hasn’t followed you. To take down the barrier, kill mobs in the area until you obtain the required drop.
- Turn in the drop to your squire, who will then give you the quest to defeat Arkonos the Cursed. Successfully completing this quest will reward you with both the Shock and Awe Rune and the Skill Book Testament of Avenging Wrath.
Righteous Vengeance Rune

- Talk to the Fallen Knight in Western Plaguelands, north of Dalson’s Field at coordinates /way 45 46.
- Head to the barn near the Fallen Knight and speak with Squire Cuthbert, who is located in the back left corner at coordinates /way 47.8 50.4.
- Locate a sword in the nearby field, retrieve it, and bring it back to Squire Cuthbert.
- Complete the quest Clearing the Path by killing undead in the area (5 Blighted Zombies, 10 Skeletal Terrors, and 10 Rotting Cadavers), then escort Squire Cuthbert back to the body of the Fallen Knight.
Stay in this area, as Squire Cuthbert will provide you with a quest that leads to obtaining the Rune.

- Locate Aeonas the Vindicated within the Stormwind Cathedral. Speak with him, then talk to Katherine the Pure nearby.
- Katherine awards you The Mysterious Merchant quest, sending you to Theramore.
- Find the Paladin Elrick inside the Theramore Inn. Turn in The Mysterious Merchant and accept the follow-up quest Elrick, Paladin of the Silver Hand.
- Elrick and Stern-faced Bar Patron companion will attack you. Defeat them both. Elrick may drop a Bloody Missive upon defeat.
- If Elrick doesn’t drop the Missive, or you’re in a group, talk to the Innkeeper after completing the quest. They might offer an extra copy.
- Click the Bloody Missive to initiate the The Bloody Missive quest. It directs you back to Katherine the Pure.
- Travel back to Stormwind Cathedral and hand in The Bloody Missive to Katherine.
- Upon successful completion, you’ll receive the Fanaticism Rune.

Reaching the Peak
- Utilize one of the two Feralas teleporters:
- Booty Bay (27.6, 77.4): Requires completion of Quadrangulation quest.
- Feralas Peak (85.3, 43.6): No quest requirement.
- Look across the valley from Wirdal Wondergear (84.2, 43.8) for a Crashed Flying Machine on a pillar (northwest, 81, 42).
- Since a clear path is unavailable, you’ll need a forceful knock-back to reach the peak.
Earning the Knock-Back
- Set your Gadgetzan reputation to “at War”.
- Locate the mechanical pets called Tower Defense Automaton.
- Carefully move to the ledge’s end closest to the pillar, facing away from it.
- Attack a Dragon-version Automaton to trigger its knock-back ability. Be prepared for potential additional attacks.

- Proceed to Maestra’s Post in Ashenvale and speak with Delgren the Purifier to start the quest Advice From Stormwind.
- Complete the subsequent quests, including Earning Your Salt from Ursula Deline and It Must Be Destroyed from Katherine the Pure.
- Journey to Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale and collect 12 Mote of Mannoroth.
- Interact with Mannoroth’s weapons at approximately (89, 77) to initiate the final quest in the chain, Return to Delgren.
- After completing the chain, you will be rewarded with the Divine Storm.
Hallowed Ground Rune
Hallowed Ground transforms your Consecration ability to not only damage enemies but also heal party members within its area for an amount equal to 200% of the damage value. This dual-purpose effect makes it an excellent tool for both offensive and supportive roles.

- Human: Hallowed Ground is acquired by defeating Undead enemies in Westfall and looting the Libram of Blessings. Distribute these blessings to five different players.
- Dwarf: Visit Loch Modan Tavern. There, you’ll find a Libram that offers a quest to buff five different people.
Aegis Rune
Aegis Rune increases the damage of your melee attacks, raises the quality of your shield, and gives a chance to boost your defense when you block. This 10-second or 5-block buffer will definitely be an increase in your ability to endure the enemy’s attack.

- Human: Use Purify at the Paladin located at the end of Jasperlode Mine. It’s essential to be at least level 8 to learn Purify.
- Dwarf: Acquire it by finding an NPC named Wounded Adventurer in front of the gates of Gnomeregan. Utilize the spell Purify and engage in conversation with the wounded adventurer.
Paladin Legs Runes

Paladin Legs Runes are designed to enhance a Paladin’s ability to absorb damage and protect their allies. These Runes offer powerful defensive benefits, such as damage redirection and resistance to crowd control effects, ensuring that Paladins can maintain their protective role in any situation.
Divine Sacrifice Rune
Divine Sacrifice allows Paladins to shoulder the burden of damage for their party. It redirects 30% of all damage taken by nearby party members to the Paladin for 10 seconds. If the Paladin drops below 20% health, the effect breaks, but in return, they get a buff for increased damage and healing.
But keep in mind that you can’t use Divine Sacrifice being under the effects of Blessing of Protection, Divine Shield, or Divine Protection, and prevents you from being targeted by those abilities while it is active.
Divine Sacrifice Rune Location
The Divine Sacrifice can be purchased from Grizzby in Ratchet. However, Grizzby requires the completion of specific pre-quests:
- Shredder Turbochargers: Collect 16 Shredder Turbochargers from Venture Co. Shredders in the Windshear Crag, Stonetalon Mountains.
- Dark Iron Ordinance: Acquire 20 Dark Iron Ordinance by vanquishing Dark Iron Insurgent in North Loch Modan or Dark Iron Rifleman and other Dark Iron dwarves in North Wetlands.
- Fish Oil: Gather 24 Fish Oil from murlocs in Hillsbrad or Wetlands, or acquire them through the Auction House.
Inspiration Exemplar Rune
Inspiration Exemplar brings crowd control resistance to the Paladin’s toolkit. Periodically dispelling Fear and Sleep effects on nearby party members with an inspiring presence ensures your team stays in the fight.

Here are the ways how to get Inspiration Exemplar Rune:
- Human: The Inspiration Exemplar can be found just east of Jerod’s Landing. You will see Adventurer’s Remains on the ground, right-click to summon a portal, and have a second Paladin (or Priest) right-click to summon an Adventurer’s Spirit. Defeat the mob that appears and learn Inspiration Exemplar.
- Dwarf: You can find Inspiration Exemplar west of Kharanos, inside the Wendigo cave, and follow the same steps for acquisition.

Aura Mastery Rune
Aura Mastery causes your Concentration Aura to render all affected targets immune to Silence and Interrupt effects. Additionally, it doubles the effectiveness of all other auras for a duration of 6 seconds, significantly boosting your group support capabilities during critical moments.

In Duskwood, grab the Libram of Banishment from Defias mobs at Yorgen Farmstead. To get your hands on the Aura Mastery Rune, just use Turn Undead on five of those enemies and finish them off with Exorcism.
Rebuke Rune
Rebuke is a Paladin’s spell interrupt. With a cooldown of 10 seconds, it stops enemy spellcasting for 2 seconds, providing crucial control in the heat of battle.

To acquire it, speak to the Bartender Liv Bradford in Stormwind City. Learn that business is poor due to a local drunk near the tavern entrance. Engage and defeat the drunk, then return to the Bartender to obtain the Rune. It’s crucial to note that only the player who lands the final blow is eligible to receive the Rebuke, and group credit does not count.
Paladin Gloves Runes

Paladin Gloves Runes are essential for improving the Paladin’s healing and combat abilities. These Runes provide significant boosts to healing efficiency, improve melee attack capabilities, and offer additional benefits that enhance the Paladin’s overall performance in both offensive and defensive roles.
Beacon of Light Rune
