Hunters can find the Rune of Meditation by heading to the Shimmering Flats in Thousand Needles at /way 80, 77. Inside a small goblin house, you’ll find the black tome containing the rune. Simply click on the book to acquire it.
Hunter Cloak Runes

Hunter Cloak Runes grant a variety of enhancements that bolster a Hunter’s defensive and offensive capabilities. These Runes are meticulously designed to provide Hunters with unique benefits that improve their survivability and efficiency in battle.
Improved Volley Rune
Improved Volley significantly enhances the Volley attack by halving its mana cost and completely removing its cooldown. Additionally, it ensures Volley is uninterrupted by damage. Each instance of damage dealt by Volley includes extra damage proportional to your ranged Attack Power.

- Begin by traveling to Silithus.
- Defeat any mobs in the area until you loot a Busted Gizmo. The highest drop rate is currently from Twilight Avengers.
- Take the Busted Gizmo to Edwi Copperbolt, a gnome located at Bronzebeard’s Encampment in the southeast part of Silithus (41.2, 88.8).
- Edwi will exchange the Busted Gizmo for a Desert Sonar.
- Explore Silithus around the coordinates 36, 71.
- Look for moving ground and use the Desert Sonar to summon a Sandworm.
- Defeat the Sandworm to obtain the Rune of Shelling.
Resourcefulness Rune
Resourcefulness completely eliminates the mana cost associated with setting Traps down their cooldown periods by 40%, making them more efficient and readily available for frequent use.

- Head to northwest Eastern Plaguelands near Terrordale and kill Plagued Swine until you obtain Tainted Boar Meat.
- Next, go to Corrin’s Crossing and kill slimes until you collect Bubbling Green Ichor.
- Combine the Tainted Boar Meat with the Bubbling Green Ichor to create a Rancid Hunk of Flesh.
- Find a Carrion Grub and feed it the Rancid Hunk of Flesh. The Carrion Grub will regurgitate a skeleton.
- Finally, loot the skeleton to get the Rune of the Resourceful.
Hit and Run Rune
Hit and Run boosts your mobility, granting a 15% increase in movement speed for 4 seconds each time you execute a Raptor Strike, enhancing your capability to maneuver in combat situations.

- Location: Burning Steppes, just northeast of the Alliance flight point.
- Note: This source is considered the best due to its higher drop rate and shorter spawn timer.
Rare Drop Rate: Calefactus the Unleashed
- Description: A two-headed green Core Hound that wanders in the Blasted Lands.
- Note: This source is less reliable because of its rare drop rate and longer spawn timer. Click on the NPC link to view its pathing map.
Focusing on the Escaped Core Hound in the Burning Steppes is your best bet for obtaining the Rune of the Guerrilla efficiently.
Hunter Bracer Runes

Hunter Bracer Runes focus on augmenting the Hunter’s attack speed, damage output, and overall battle prowess. These Runes are essential for Hunters seeking to maximize their combat effectiveness, providing significant boosts to both ranged and melee abilities.
Focus Fire Rune
Focus Fire Bracer‘s main feature is to improve your battle skills. This ability, when you use it, removes the Frenzy from your pet causing your ranged attack speed to rise by 3% while your pet receives 4 Focus for each Frenzy removed. These effects last 20 seconds. By attacking your pet, the Frenzy is generated, which increases the melee attack speed of 6% for 10 seconds, but it can only be stacked 5 times.

Head to coordinates (55, 51) in Searing Gorge and find a long branch overhanging a cavern. Approach the Stormcrow Nest at the end and loot the Stormcrow Egg. This will enrage a Stormcrow, defeat it to claim the Rune of Focused Fire.
Raptor Fury Rune
Raptor Fury adds 15% to the damage of Raptor Strike and Mongoose Bite for 15 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. Nevertheless, the subsequent doses are not responsible for the same elongation of this effect, hence, you have to act immediately and directly.

Lock and Load boosts your trapping abilities. When your trap is triggered, the next Shot ability within 20 seconds will cost no mana and not trigger the cooldown. This means that you will be able to employ the Shot abilities very quickly and effectively, which will give you an upper hand in the combat scenarios.

Gather Wildwhisper Draught:
- Travel to Jintha’Alor in the The Hinterlands (group optional).
- Defeat elite trolls in the area until you acquire the Wildwhisper Draught.
Summon the Spirit of Agamaggan:
- Journey to Razorfen Downs.
- Clear the area around Amnennar the Coldbringer.
- Have one player consume the Wildwhisper Draught to summon the Spirit of Agamaggan.
- Interact with the Spirit to receive a new quest and Agamaggan’s Roar.
Collect Wild Offerings (Solo):
Important: You only need to complete this step once per dungeon.

- Return to the Shadowtooth Emissary in Felwood and hand in the quest.
- Receive the Rune of Firepower, as your reward for completing the quest.
Catlike Reflexes Rune
Catlike Reflexes enables you to dodge, and gives you the benefit of controlling your pet. This skill will give you 20% chance to dodge and your pet’s chance to dodge will be upgraded by 9%. Moreover, it also removes the cooldown of your Kill Shot and Flanking Strike abilities by 50% which helps to execute swift and precise hits on the opponenets.

Gear Up: Grab some Soft Banana Bread (or Tel’Abim Banana) from a food vendor.
The Rescue:
- Head to the Yeti Cave in Feralas (53, 60).
- Find the Groddoc Infant, a baby monkey deep inside.

- In Searing Gorge travel to the cave west of the flight point (22, 36). Locate the Weathered Etching near the tall pillars (14.5, 36.5). Interact with it to obtain the quest The Burning Beast.
- Speak to Bloodmage Lynnore in Blasted Lands (50.6, 14.2). Complete The Burning Beast and accept Chains That Bind.
- Defeat Shadowsworn mobs (eastern or western walls) for 5 Infernal Chain Links. Turn them in for Brought to Heel.
- Use the Infernal Lasso, provided by Lynnore, to capture Fel Lifeblood from Calefactus the Unleashed. Check the map for spawn points (be prepared for a 5-minute respawn timer).
- Return to Bloodmage Lynnore to claim your Rune of the Ravenous.
Hunter Belt Runes

Hunter Belt Runes are tailored to elevate a Hunter’s melee combat effectiveness and critical strike potential. By embedding these Runes in their Belts, Hunters gain substantial boosts that enhance their damage and agility, critical for close-quarters combat.

Expose Weakness is one of the most powerful augments that you can use for your Hunter. When you activate your melee and ranged critical strikes, you will receive a stunning 40% of your Agility as a bonus attack power boost for a duration of 7 seconds.

- Fight with the dangerous Dustbelcher Ogre and get the drop Primitive Drawing so as to begin the quest Terror of the Desert Skies.
- Go to Stranglethorn Vale and meet Hemet Nesingwary (35.6, 10.8).
- Grab the provided Empty Bait Cage from Hemet Nesingwary and go back into the Badlands. Look for the Large Nest (22, 67) and bait down Gharrik, a powerful bird. Participate in combat, defeat Gharrik, and earn the Crimson Trophy Quill.
- Return the Crimson Trophy Quill to Hemet Nesingwary to get the Rune of Expose Weakness, you’ll need to learn Expose Weakness.
Melee Specialist Rune
Melee Specialist revolutionizes your melee capabilities, enhancing your combat prowess with swift, devastating strikes. Raptor Strike cooldown reduced to a mere 3 seconds and now executes instantly. Mongoose Bite cooldown is eliminated, while Raptor Strike gains a 30% chance to bypass its cooldown on each attack.

- Find the Dalaran Agent at Ariden’s Camp by using this coordinate (/way #1430 52 35). Obtain Ariden’s Sigil from them.
- Use Ariden’s Sigil to show the existence of the Dark Rider elites in different spots. Kill this enemies and acquire the Dalaran Relics:

Hunter Boots Runes enhance mobility and dual-wielding proficiency, offering Hunters unprecedented agility and versatility in combat. These Runes are indispensable for Hunters who rely on swift, precise movements and dual-wielded attacks to outmaneuver their foes.
Dual Wield Specialization Rune
Dual Wield Specialization gives off the effectiveness of offhand weapon’s damage by a massive 50% once you put it on your Boots. Additionally, it lets your Raptor Strike hit with both weapons at the same time, when you have it dual-wielded, increasing your offense. Also, Raptor Strike causes 30% damage increase when holding two weapons of the same type.

- Journey to the coordinates (31.8, 15.7) southwest of the Nesingwary camp in Stranglethorn Vale and get a Danger! buff.
- Activate Flare to unveil the enigmatic Bloodscalp Guerrilla.
- Fight the Bloodscalp Guerrilla and then win to get Rune of the Scrapper, needed to learn Dual Wield Specialization.
Wyvern Strike Rune
Wyvern Strike delivers a powerful weapon strike causing 100% weapon damage and applies a poison, or Sting, to the target. This Sting inflicts additional Nature damage over 6 seconds based on a formula involving the Hunter’s Attack Power. Notably, only one Sting from a Hunter can be active on a target at any given time, ensuring strategic placement is crucial.

- Obtain the Entomology Starter Kit from Amaryllis Webb in Swamp of Sorrows (25.0, 54.2).
- Visit the nearby Lake Nazferiti logging camp and kill an Arbor Tarantula to get an Arbor Tarantula Specimen.
- Find out the Northfold Manor and eliminate a Hay Weevil from the barns or stables to have a Hay Weevil Specimen.
- Destination to the Kodo Graveyard and eliminate a Flesh Picker within the bone graveyard to get a Flesh Picker Specimen.

- Go to Booty Bay and visit the inn. Present On the Lam to Tokal and embark on the quest Cherry for Your Thoughts?. Buy Cherry Grog from Nixxrax Fillamug for 3 gold and 40 silver to continue the quest.
- Locate a Rowboat situated under the bridge between Arathi Highlands and Wetlands (53, 91). Interact with the Rowboat to teleport to the eastern shore (93, 71).
- Engage Illari Duskfeather in battle and come out on top to obtain Illari’s Key from Illari’s Loot Cache. Open the Jewel-Encrusted Box with the key you’ve obtained to get Rune of the Trapper, you’ll need to learn Trap Launcher.

Master Marksman hones the Hunter’s skills with ranged weaponry and conserves their mana. This Rune grants a 5% increase to critical strike chance, allowing Hunters to land devastating blows more frequently. Additionally, the Rune reduces the mana cost of all Shot abilities by 25%, enabling Hunters to sustain their attacks for longer durations.

- Dwarf: Seek out a Rustling Bush at coordinates (29, 49) in Dun Morogh. Use Hunter’s Mark on the bush to spawn and defeat the mob that emerges.
- Night Elf: Locate a Rustling Bush in Teldrassil at coordinates (46.6, 46.3). Use Hunter’s Mark on the bush to spawn and defeat the mob that emerges.
- Orc and Troll: Search for a Rustling Bush west of Razor Hill at coordinates (38, 52). Use Hunter’s Mark on the bush to spawn and defeat the mob that emerges.

- Dark Iron Ordinance: Acquire 20 Dark Iron Ordinance by vanquishing Dark Iron Insurgent in North Loch Modan or Dark Iron Rifleman and other Dark Iron dwarves in North Wetlands.
- Fish Oil: Gather 24 Fish Oil from murlocs in Hillsbrad or Wetlands, or acquire them through the Auction House.
Cobra Strikes Rune

Hunter Legs Runes are crucial for augmenting a Hunter’s ranged attack power and overall mobility. These Runes ensure that Hunters can execute powerful ranged attacks with increased frequency and precision, making them lethal marksmen.
Kill Shot Rune
Kill Shot allows launch a decisive ranged attack that inflicts 100% weapon damage plus a specific bonus damage. This attack has no minimum range and uniquely, if Kill Shot is used on a target with 20% or less health, its cooldown is immediately reset, allowing for repeated usage under the right conditions.

Here are detailed instructions on how to get Kill Shot Rune for all races:
- Journey to Stonetalon Mountains and seek out Jixo Madrocket, located at coordinates (59.20, 62.41). He will present you the quest Wild Wyvern Wrangling.
- To complete the quest, retrieve two items: a Hypnotic Crystal and a Gnarled Wand of Wild Magic.
- The Hypnotic Crystal drops from Mutanus the Devourer, the final boss in the Wailing Caverns Dungeon.
- The Gnarled Wand of Wild Magic is crafted by combining a Greater Magic Wand and a Wild Magic Essence, which can be obtained from Furbolgs in Ashenvale.
- With these two items in hand, return to Jixo Madrocket to receive a follow-up quest, Wrangling a Wild Wyvern.
- Follow Jixo Madrocket and observe him tame a Wyvern.
- Upon completion, you will receive the Rune of Kill Command and the Wyvern Taming Wand.

- Dwarf: Slay the elite crocolisk named Kackle, found at coordinates (54, 54) in Loch Modan.
- Night Elf: Locate a harpoon near one of the beached sea turtle skulls along the shore in Darkshore. Use it against the elite thresher Paxnozz at coordinates (48, 15) and defeat it to loot the Rune.
- Horde: Venture to Ratchet and converse with Kilxx by the docks. Purchase a Fishing Harpoon and head into the bay to find Bruuz circling around a boat at the bottom. Use the harpoon to lower the shark’s health and defeat him to receive the Rune.
Serpent Spread Rune
Serpent Spread amplifies the effectiveness of the Hunter’s Multi-Shot ability by spreading the effects of Serpent Sting to all targets struck. This Rune ensures that all targets hit by Multi-Shot are afflicted by Serpent Sting for 6 seconds, amplifying overall damage output.
