The Burning Crusade Anniversary What To Do at Level 60

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

Leveling in the Burning Crusade Anniversary is the most important stage in your exploration of Azeroth. If you played the previous expansion, you probably already have a character that has reached the level cap, and now you don’t know where to go next. There are several options for what to do after level 60 in TBC Classic Anniversary:

  • Look for better leveling gear to venture into Outland.
  • Focus on professions leveling.
  • If you are eligible, head to the Outland early on.

Aside from these steps, 60-70 TBC Leveling remains largerly the same: you either stick to questing, or switch to dungeon pushing. Or both. However, if your character is a Level 1 newbie, we share the details about the early leveling further in this guide.

How to Level Up from 60 to 70 in The Burning Crusade Anniversary

So, TBK Anniversary 60-70 leveling routine is not much different from how you went to level 60. The main methods boil down to Dungeons, Quests, or a combination of both. The main difference is the increase in difficulty, including the HP level of enemies and mobs, as well as the need to get new gear. Here’s a list of the best zones to focus on when leveling 60-70 in TBC Anniversary (good for both dungeon runs and questing):

Level RangeZonePrimary Faction
58-62Hellfire PeninsulaThrallmar (H) / Honor Hold (A)
62-64ZangarmarshCenarion Expedition
64-66Terokkar ForestLower City
66-68NagrandMag’har (H) / Kurenai (A)
68-70Netherstorm / Shadowmoon ValleyThe Sha’tar / Aldor or Scryer

At this stage, it is important to combine leveling with dungeon attunements in order to see visible progress. Also, don’t forget about professions, as they will help you either obtain unique gear items, enchants, or gold to buy everything at auction. In addition, new and difficult dungeons require consumables.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Leveling Gear

Once you reach TBC Anniversary level 60, you will want to prepare to adventure into Outland. If you’ve leveled quickly through dungeon runs, your equipment is most likely very weak. Lucky for you, the Pre-Raid Gear and epic PvP armor and weapons are easily obtainable during the pre-patch for The Burning Crusade Anniversary.

These are very powerful armor and weapons like Field Marshal’s Battlegear or Field Marshal’s Earthshaker armor sets or weapons like Grand Marshal’s Right Hand Blade and Grand Marshal’s Mageblade.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Leveling Professions

Aside from gearing your character, you may want to level professions in TBC Anniversary. Some professions in The Burning Crusade Classic offer very powerful rewards only usable by players with that profession. Having your desired professions at level 300 before the Dark Portal opens will make it easier to reach those powerful rewards in Outland.

One of the best professions for leveling in TBC Anniversary is the First Aid, as it’s your easy source of self-healing. You can craft bandages and anti-venom potions that come in handey in any situation, be it open world, questing, or dungeons.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Outland Leveling

Leveling in the Outland in TBC Anniversary is a niche, though working method. You can hop right in to Outland around level 58-60. Many quests in Hellfire Peninsula will offer great rewards and give you some decent equipment while you continue your leveling process. But, the recommended entry level for the Outland is 60, so don’t rush, unless you have a reliable high-level party.

However, there’s no way a regular player will do 1-60 in 2 weeks or less to be ready for TBC Classic Anniversary. Some optimized leveling routine is probably the only way for most of the people to have a lvl 60 Draenei/Blood Elf for the launch of the Burning Crusade Classic.

You may consider using 1-60 + 60-70 Bundle for your character in the current expansion, as it’s the best option now. This is the best leveling method in WoW the Burning Crusade for the new races. You will save a huge amount of time, our pro booster can guarantee the fastest completion time.

Best Way of Leveling in TBC Anniversary

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

There are two major leveling options in the Burning Crusade Anniversary: questing and dungeons. Though these two options are equally easy to pick up, there are a few important differences and player preferences:

  • Many TBC Anniversary players consider Dungeon leveling to be the best way to level up fast in TBC. This method requires a group, pre-made or found via LFG, but it’s pretty straightforward, with the proven dungeon sequence.
  • At the same time, solo players prefer Questing as the best TBC Anniversary leveling method. Questing allows you not only gain XP while playing solo, but also explore new zones, flight points, level up professions, and gather resources. Questing can also be done in group with minor XP loss.
  • Dungeons + Questing is the third “sub-method” which allows to combine two activities. This method is most effective if you do it in a pre-made group and have someone (say, Mage or Warlock) to teleport you to the party location or dungeon entrance.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Leveling Changes

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary brings many large-scale quality-of-life changes to improve leveling speed. The list of leveling changes is immense, and all of them feel very refreshing. What changes in the TBC Classic Anniversary leveling:

  • Faster leveling (20–60) — XP requirements reduced by ~15%, quest XP increased.
  • Earlier mounts — riding skills unlock sooner and cost less gold.
  • New races and classes — Draenei (Alliance) and Blood Elves (Horde); Paladins for Horde, Shamans for Alliance.
  • Jewelcrafting added — new profession, available up to skill level 300.
  • Class talent updates — reworked talent trees and new trainer options.
  • Account-wide attunements — once unlocked, apply to all characters.
  • Nerfed Tier 4 raids — Karazhan, Gruul’s Lair, Magtheridon easier on launch.
  • Guild Banks and Dual Spec — available from day one.
  • Faction balance tools — PvP realms include population control systems.

Account-wide unlocking of attunements, reduced stats to Tier 4 raids, the addition of Guild Banks, and Dual Spec are just a few of many features which distinguish the World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary patch from original Burning Crusade. All the changes allow TBC Anniversary leveling to be faster, easier, and even enjoyable to some extend.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Quest Leveling

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

Questing is the most basic TBC Anniversary leveling method for 1-60 progression, where you will just go through zones and complete quests in them. Questing can be done solo, but it is less effective than dungeons, as some classes are more efficient at it than others.

Another side of the coin is that it can be easy to stop leveling and be sidetracked by something. The advantage of leveling with quests in the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary is that you can quest while doing other things, such as leveling professions and using Profession Kits.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Solo Questing

The advantage of questing solo for levelingin TBC Anniversary is that, as you’re usually doing it alone, you are not dependent on a group and can play whenever your schedule allows it. Without a reliable group to do dungeons, Questing can be as efficient as dungeons.

Best Classes for Solo Questing in TBC Classic Anniversary:

  • Hunter is a top-tier choice for leveling due to pet tanking, kiting, high damage, and low reliance on gear.
  • Warlock is excellent due to the efficiency of its pets and good single-target/AoE damage.
  • Druid and Paladin provide strong survivability, ability to heal, and both classes are good for taking on multiple mobs.

Key Solo Questing Strategies in TBC Anniversary:

  • Choose a class with built-in healing or tanking abilities to reduce downtime.
  • Take Alchemy to craft your own healing potions, or Herbalism/Mining for gold, to support your solo journey.
  • Focus on questing without turn-ins to prepare for XP gains at the start of TBC Anniversary, and the end-game content like heroic dungeons, as reputation rewards are crucial.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Group Questing

Although questing can be done solo, it is also beneficial to group up in TBC Anniversary, even if just for certain quests that require more than one player. Not only can it be more enjoyable to share the experience with a friend, but you will also kill mobs twice as fast.

📌 However, experience gained from killing monsters is shared between all players in the group, so you might slow down a bit on raw experience.

The advantage of grouping for leveling in the Burning Crusade Anniversary lies in the fact that you can kill monsters (and thus complete quests) faster, and you will have a lesser need to include additional players for group quests. Not to mention you will have a friend to talk to!

You do gain a small bonus when killing mobs as a group, to slightly offset the fact that you’re in a group. As an example, let’s assume that you’re about to kill a mob that grants 100 experience while you’re solo. This list is considering that all players are on the same level, as mobs grant different amounts of experience to players of different levels.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Quest Leveling XP Gains

Here’s a quick note on how much XP you gain during questing in TBC Anniversary, both solo and in a group:

  • Solo: 100 EXP;
  • 2 Players: 50 EXP/person;
  • 3 Players: 39 EXP/person;
  • 4 Players: 33 EXP/person;
  • 5 Players: 28 EXP/person.

It is worth noting that, while in a group, only experience gains from killing monsters are affected. Your entire group will receive the same amount of experience for turning in quests. So in a group, the experience loss for killing mobs with more people is often offset by the fact that a group will complete quests faster. Always consider how long it takes to complete a quest vs. how much experience you can gain from monsters before thinking about grouping.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Dungeon Leveling

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

In WoW TBC Classic Anniversary, the fastest way to level up is getting carried in dungeons by a high-level character, typically Mage or Paladin. Dungeon leveling in TBC Anniversary is where a high-level character clears out an entire dungeon while low-level characters wait near the entrance and gain experience. TBC Anniversary Dungeon Leveling can bring a character from level 1 to 60 is less than 48 hours of played time.

While leveling in WoW Classic Anniversary, you’ll often find quests for dungeons appropriate for your level. Pick them up, as they provide valuable rewards and speed up your XP gains.

📌 Keep in mind that WoW Classic Anniversary doesn’t have quality of life improvements like Dungeon finder or Group Finder, so you must use default chat channels like General or LookingForGroup to find groups for dungeons.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Best Dungeons for Leveling

If you choose to use TBC Anniversary dungeon leveling, you should know which dungeons to do at each level range. In general, ideal experience gain occurs when your average group level is somewhere between 5 levels below and 2 levels above the average enemy level in the dungeon.

Here is a chronological list of all the Burning Crusade Anniversary dungeons to run, and how many times to complete them to maximize your reputation and level gains for WoW Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary:

Around level 68, you will want to take a step away from dungeons for a moment to begin your Karazhan attunement quest line. Don’t worry, the chain will get you right back into the dungeon grind shortly. And remember — the best way to level up your character for the current addon is with the Overgear team, which provides Starter Pack for TBC Classic Anniversary.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Dungeon Quests

Many dungeon quests are worth completing throughout your journey. However, some dungeons aren’t worth completing for the quests alone. For example, Alliance wouldn’t find enough benefit from quests in dungeons like Razorfen Kraul and Horde in Gnomeregan, even though both factions have quests in those dungeons.

Some dungeons include what is called class quests, such as The Test of Righteousness which sees the Paladin completing both The Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep.

How to Find Groups for Dungeon Leveling in TBC Anniversary

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

The World of Warcraft made an incredible update that introduced Looking for Group menu in TBC Anniversary, that allows you to look for three dungeons simultaneously. You can also add a comment stating your role and other important details.

If you prefer an old-school LFG method, the community continues to develop and support add-ons. There are several add-ons that players enjoy using, including ones that help make forming groups easier, e.g., LFG Group Bulletin Board.

Another “old” method is a manual search. Since there were no in-built tool to search for a group in TBC Classic, you needed to look for a party through the chat. Here’s how to do it fast:

  1. Using the “Looking For Group” chat channel (Press “Enter” to begin chatting, and then type “/4” and then press “Space” to begin using this channel);
  2. Many players choose to also utilize “Trade” chat, to do this we use the same method as above, except we’ll use “/2” instead.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Reputation Leveling

Burning Crusade Leveling Guide

Reputation leveling for TBC Anniversary is faster than in Classic TBC, but still requires planning. Zone quests, Normal Dungeons, and earlier reputation rewards continue to be basic while Heroic Dungeons open up at Revered and unlock important systems. Good reputation leveling with the key factions, like the Argent Dawn, is necessary for keys for Dungeons, pre-Raid gear, enchants, and raids, and thus is an extremely important pre-Outland prep phase.

How to Level Reputation in TBC Classic Anniversary:

  1. Start with Quest Chains. Complete all zone quests in Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, and Nagrand.
  2. Run Normal Dungeons Early. Spam normal dungeons linked to your target faction. Reputation from mobs drops up to Honored or Revered.
  3. Focus on One Faction at a Time. Pick one reputation and grind it straight to Revered.
  4. Switch to Heroics at Revered. Once Revered is reached, unlock Heroic dungeons. Heroics are required for keys, gear, and further reputation gains.
  5. Use Reputation Items. Turn in repeatable items like Marks of Sargeras, Coilfang Armaments, or Obsidian Warbeads when available.
  6. Finish with Daily Quests. Use daily quests in later zones to push remaining reputation gaps efficiently.

The Burning Crusade Anniversary Leveling Tips

Here we have gathered the best TBC Anniversary leveling tips for all kinds of players. You’ll level up faster and easier following this advice. Also, you can personalize these tips according to your needs and preferences, but all the tips are based on the most efficient leveling methods.

Avoid Competition

First and foremost, when leveling in TBC Anniversary, you should avoid competition. If you want to fight other players for tags on enemies or spam-click a lootable quest object as soon as it respawns, you will be wasting a lot of time.

It is likely the starting zones will be quite crowded. If you find yourself struggling to tag mobs before other players, waiting for respawns, or competing over lootable quest objects, it will slow down the whole process.

Find a friendly Mage to teleport you to a different area so you can progress unhindered, or even a Warlock to summon you directly to a different starting zone.

Do Many Quests at Once

You should gather up all the quests in town and then run out in a circuit and complete them all before coming back to town. This drastically cuts down on time spent running around, allowing you to spend more time doing things that actually earn experience.

✏️ Addons like Questie can display where quest objectives are on your map, which makes it easy to plot out what needs to be done and where.

Transfer Powerful Items

If you really want to go all-in on the first levels in the Burning Crusade Anniversary, get some special items on your main character and transfer them to your freshly created Draenei to speed up the leveling process a little bit.

  • A level 1 weapon like Short Staff or Large Club enchanted with Enchant Weapon – Fiery Weapon. Be sure the class you are leveling starts with the appropriate weapon skill.
  • Thin Cloth Shoes or another pair of boots enchanted with Enchant Boots – Minor Speed. You’ll be running around a lot, and this will cut down on that time spent.
  • 4 Runecloth Bag will greatly help because you will spend less time sorting through garbage items and managing a limited inventory. These will also come in handy when you start dungeon boosting. If you are feeling in a spending mood, you can, of course, buy 16 or 18-slot bags.
All Raids Bundle
Complete all raids in one go! No need to look for a group, our pros are ready!
Burning Crusade Leveling Guide 4.9

All in all, the Burning Crusade leveling in WoW Classic Anniversary is the most important step in the gameplay. Efficient leveling can be achieved by combining the most popular leveling methods — questing and dungeons. Do not forget to constantly upgrade your gear, look for leveling activities that provide reputation XP gains, and train your profession skills to level up fast and easily.
