WoW Classic Anniversary Naxxramas is a scourge necropolis flying above Stratholme in Eastern Plaguelands. Since it’s located above the ground, you need to use a teleport located in the Plaguewood area, /way 39, 26. You’ll fly to the Light’s Hope Chapel (both Alliance and Horde).
Naxxramas Release Date
WoW Classic Anniversary Naxxramas raid will open its doors alongside the release of Phase 6 on October 2, 2025. On this day, the 5-winged raid designed for 40 players will become available, and you will be able to visit the following parts:
- Spider Wing;
- Plague Wing;
- Deathknight Wing;
- Abomination Wing.
Naxxramas is no easy raid, even though you have 40 allies by your side. The ilvl 86-92 (Tier 3) loot is very valuable, though. It’s fair to expect mass wipes and lots of attempts on bosses. To ensure that you have reliable players in your raid composition, ask our team for assistance.

Naxxramas Map
There are five WoW Classic Anniversary Naxxramas raid wings:
- Spider Wing — the easiest zone, located in the top right corner of the map;
- Plague Wing — the second Naxxramas wing in the bottom right corner of the raid plan;
- Deathknight Wing — a more difficult wing and the third one in the raid, you can find it in the bottom left wing on the raid map;
- Abomination Wing — the fourth and hardest wing among the initially available raid zones, located in the top left part of the map;
- Frostwyrm Lair — the last-boss wing, entrance is located in the middle of the necropolis.

If you are lucky enough, you can get a lot of WoW Classic Anniversary Naxxramas loot that includes Two-Hand Weapons, One-Hand Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Shields, Off-Hands, Cloth Armor, Leather Armor, Mail Armor, Plate Armor, Trinkets, Accessories, and Jewelry.
Among the most valuable Anniversary Naxxramas rewards, we should mention a new legendary staff that requires completing a series of quests starting in the Naxxramas — Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian. Bosses in the raid can drop a unique material, Splinter of Atiesh, that is required for staff obtaining. This legendary weapon is available for Priests, Mages, Warlocks, and Druids, each receiving a unique variant of the staff.

Another unique raid reward in WoW Classic Anniversary Edition Naxxramas is Frozen Runes, scattered around the instance. Look for a Word of Thawing dropping from mobs to be able to interact with the runes. Once obtained, the Frozen Rune can be used either as a consumable that absorbs fire damage or as a crafting reagent for Frozen Rune gear.
📌 Frozen Rune gear, as well as Frozen Runes as consumables, are very helpful against Sapphiron — the last Naxxramas encounter before the final boss.
Finally, Tier 3 Sets are also a part of the Naxxramas loot pool in WoW Classic Anniversary. The sets provide 4 set bonuses based on the number of equipped pieces, but they are not obtained easily.

The Phylactery of Kel’Thuzad
There’s a special offer for those players who managed to defeat Kel’Thuzad, the final Naxxramas raid boss in WoW Classic Anniversary. Kel’Thuzad drops The Phylactery of Kel’Thuzad — a unique item that begins the The Fall of Kel’Thuzad quest. You need to bring the Phylactery to Light’s Hope Chapel in Eastern Plaguelands to receive one of two powerful trinkets:
- Mark of the Champion for Melee.
- Mark of the Champion for Casters.
These trinkets are particularly useful while fighting against undead and demons, but they also allow you to gather Scourgestones for the Argent Dawn reputation. The key reason to gather them is that the reputation from most sources stops at Revered. Scourgestones are your long-term ticket to Exalted with Argent Dawn and access to their exclusive rewards.

How to Unlock Naxxramas
The Naxxramas raid is not available by default in WoW Classic Anniversary. Entering the raid requires WoW Classic Naxxramas Attunement — essential preparations that include completing quests and raising reputation with the Argent Dawn faction. You can always skip it with the help of our team.
To get access to the Naxxramas unlock questline, you need to be at least Honored with the Argent Dawn. If you meet the requirements, find Archmage Angela Dosantos in Light’s Hope Chapel (Eastern Plaguelands) to get the The Dread Citadel – Naxxramas quest. Gather 5 Arcane Crystal, 2 Nexus Crystal, and 1 Righteous Orb to complete it and finally get access to the raid.
📌 If you are Revered or Exalted, you will also need to complete the same questline, but the completion requirements are easier.
