Terrace of Endless Spring Bosses
Mists of Pandaria Classic Terrace of Endless Spring contains four bosses in the following order:
As of Phase 1, no major mechanics have been altered for MoP Classic, so the fights will feel familiar to players who tackled them in the original MoP. Each encounter presents unique challenges, requiring precise execution from Tanks, Healers, and DPS.

Protectors of the Endless
The Protectors of the Endless is a three-boss council encounter where the kill order determines difficulty and loot.
📌 Killing Protector Kaolan last grants +7 item level “elite” loot.
In 10-player mode, use two tanks, two to three healers, and five to six DPS. When one Protector dies, the others heal to full, gain an extra ability, and do 25% more damage. Most groups kill either Elder Regail first for fewer movement mechanics or Elder Asani first if they can handle Lightning Storm later. Kaolan should always be last for the elite version.
Kaolan is tanked by the stairs with a dedicated healer, while the other tank holds Regail and Asani. Spread to reduce splash damage and dispel Lightning Prison instantly. If Asani is alive after the first kill, switch to and destroy Corrupted Waters orbs quickly, then stand in the center to gain the Purified buff. If Regail is alive, avoid the expanding Lightning Storm rings. Once Kaolan is alone, use Bloodlust or Heroism to burn him down, moving him out of both small permanent void zones and large Expel Corruption areas until the fight ends.
Tsulong
Tsulong alternates between Night and Day phases every two minutes. The fight ends when he reaches 0% health during the night or 100% health during the day. In 10-player mode, use two tanks, two to three healers, and five to six DPS. Damage done to him at night reduces the healing needed in the next day phase.
Night Phase
Tsulong will use Shadow Breath, which will increase shadow damage taken, which means that it requires a tank swap. He also applies Dread Shadows stacks to all players, and they can be removed by passing through a Sunbeam that spawns randomly. Sunbeams shrink and despawn with use, so enter only to remove stacks. A simple method is to position near a Sunbeam and pass through it during a Nightmares volley to clear stacks.
Day Phase
During the day, Tsulong is friendly, and the raid must heal him while killing adds. Embodied Terror casts Terrorize on players and Tsulong; this must be dispelled quickly. Killing an Embodied Terror spawns five Fright Spawns that deal shadow damage and fear nearby players, and they should be CC’d or quickly AoE’d down.
Unstable Sha will spawn at the room’s edge and move toward Tsulong, exploding if they reach him. They can be slowed, stunned, and interrupted when casting Unstable Bolt. Tsulong assists with Sun Breath, damaging Sha, restoring mana, and granting Bathed in Light to allies in front of him, increasing healing done for a short duration.
The transition from day to night is an important part of the fight. Turn Tsulong away from the raid, and kill Fright Spawns before they can fear players. The fight will then repeat until Tsulong is defeated or healed, with an eight-minute enrage timer.
Lei Shi
Lei Shi requires two tanks, two to three healers, and five to six DPS. The main mechanics are tank swaps and crowd control during transition phases. Her soft enrage, Afraid, increases attack speed as her health drops, so Bloodlust should be used below 20%.
Lei Shi uses Spray as a normal attack. The damage of it increases with each consecutive hit and leaves a short debuff, so tanks should swap regularly. All DPS and healers should stack behind Lei Shi.
At set intervals, Lei Shi uses one of three special abilities. Hide causes her to vanish and reappear at a random location, and she can be revealed with AoE damage. When you find her, deal enough damage to make her fully visible. After she reappears, ensure no one stands on the tank’s position. Get Away! teleports her to the platform center and pushes the raid outward while dealing damage, which is halved if moving toward her. This phase ends after 30 seconds or when she loses 4% health, so maintain damage and healing while moving.
At 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% health, Lei Shi casts Protect, which will make her invulnerable. She will also start summoning Animated Protectors. Initially, there will be three adds, but the number of them will increase to five in later transitions. You only need to kill one protector to end the phase, so CC’ing the others is the best option. Spawn points are random, and they hit hard, so make sure your tanks are ready. Lei Shi continues attacking the tank during this phase, so avoid standing near them to prevent splash damage.
Sha of Fear
The Sha of Fear is the final encounter of the Terrace of Endless Spring. In 10-player mode, the setup should be two tanks, two healers, and six DPS. The fight takes place on a central platform with the Sha in the middle and on outer shrines where corrupted guardians appear. Periodically, players are teleported to the shrines and must defeat a guardian before returning.
The priority is to kill the guardian quickly enough that the next tank teleport does not occur before the first tank returns, as this would cause the Sha to use Reaching Attack and quickly kill players one by one.
On the main platform, the active tank must stand on the glowing light spot in the center to create a V-shaped safe zone with the Wall of Light. This protects players from Breath of Fear, a deadly attack the Sha uses every 30 seconds when his energy bar is full.
Tanks must also handle Thrash, which causes a spike of damage every fourth attack. Throughout the fight, the Sha summons Terror Spawns that can only be damaged from behind. These adds use Penetrating Bolt, which deals moderate damage and increases shadow damage taken; the effect should be avoided by dodging the impact zones. The Sha also deals minor raid damage with Eerie Skull, a random ranged attack.
Every 90 seconds, the Sha casts Ominous Cackle, teleporting five players — including at least one tank and one healer — to an outer shrine. The corrupted guardian there repeatedly uses Dread Spray, a cone attack aimed at random players. A second hit within a short time will cause a brief fear.
Guardian Mechanics
Damaging the guardian causes Sha Globes to spawn; these must be picked up within eight seconds or they will return to the guardian, healing him for 2% of his maximum health. Tanks and healers should gather globes for mana restoration while DPS focus on burning down the guardian without using major cooldowns. After one minute, the guardian casts Death Blossom, damaging all players in line of sight. Everyone should move behind the pillars until it ends. The guardian should be near 20% health at this point, allowing for a quick kill.
Killing the guardian spawns a portal back to the main platform and grants the Fearless buff, which increases damage and healing by 60%, greatly increases movement speed, and makes players immune to Breath of Fear. Use cooldowns after returning to kill any remaining Terror Spawns before resuming focus on the boss.
This cycle repeats until the Sha is dead. The fight has a generous enrage timer, so the focus should be on clean execution of mechanics rather than rushing damage.
Terrace of Endless Spring closes out Tier 14 with challenging mechanics, high-value loot, and some of the most memorable fights in Pandaria Classic. From the multi-phase Protectors encounter to the high-movement Lei Shi battle and the split-platform chaos of Sha of Fear, success comes down to coordination, positioning, and role execution. Whether you’re farming tier tokens, chasing BiS trinkets, or aiming for Glory of the Pandaria Raider, mastering these strategies will make the difference between wipe nights and clean clears!
