All Marvel Rivals Heroes Ranked
There are 40 superheroes as playable Marvel Rivals characters. Among them are the famous Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, Avengers, and so on. With this range of heroes to choose from it might be hard to pick the one that will suit you best. For this purpose, we’ve gathered a detailed Marvel Rivals Tier List.
We should note that there are 3 roles in Marvel Rivals: Vanguard (Tank), Duelist (Damage Dealer), and Strategist (Support). Though there are no restrictions regarding group composition, you should aim to find a balance and pick heroes accordingly to the situation. In a team of 6 characters, it would be better to have 2 characters of each role:
- Vanguard — a tanky character, has tons of HP, utilizes abilities that allow them to stay on the frontline;
- Duelist — a powerful hero capable of dealing decent damage;
- Strategist — supportive character, usually comes with healing abilities and damage buffs for the team.

📌 Note: This tier list shows heroes of all roles, as there are no restrictions for group composition regarding the role in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals S-Tier
In our Marvel Rivals Tier List, S-Tier characters are the top Marvel Rivals heroes. They perform excellently in any group composition, and they usually deal tons of damage or have abilities that can be game-changers. Additionally, they can be very mobile and versatile, withstand the hardest fights, or protect their teammates like it’s no big deal. S Tier characters are perfect to gain various Achievements in the game, but if you don’t want to do it yourself, ask our pro team, and we’ll do the task.
Wolverine
Though being a Duelist, Wolverine is pretty stiff and has a good HP pool. But the ability to withstand tons of damage doesn’t help him to be a good damage dealer, and there are better options for this role.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Last Stand; Feral Leap; Undying Animal; Vicious Rampage; Regenerative Healing Factor; Berserker Rage;
- Team-Up Abilities: Fastball Special.
Luna Snow
Luna Snow, one of the top-tier heroes, joins the fight with style and force. She has freezing abilities and healing effects, which mix to set the enemies in stone while she keeps her team alive. Additionally, she has damage boost abilities and a truly powerful ultimate ability, which is a game changer.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Fate of Both Worlds; Ice Arts; Share the Stage; Absolute Zero; Smooth Skate; Cryo Heart;
- Team-Up Abilities: Icy Disco; Frozen Chi.
Loki
Though Loki is a God of Mischief, he has a variety of abilities used for the common good. He can heal the allies with his Regeneration Domain, and he can copy enemies with his ultimate ability. But this ultimate is tricky and requires good focus and game knowledge.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: God of Mischief; Regeneration Domain; Doppelganger; Devious Exchange; Backstab; Deception;
- Team-Up Abilities: Laufeyson Reborn.
Magneto
Magneto is a lethal Vanguard who plays more like a solo carry than a frontliner. He has burst potential, team shielding, and one of the strongest ultimates in the game that drains healing and damage. Positioning is key — get caught, and you’re out, but if you’re left unchecked, Magneto can carry fights on his own.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Meteor M; Metallic Curtain; Metal Bulwark; Mag-Cannon; Magnetic Descent;
- Team-Up Abilities: Metallic Fusion.
Hela
Hela is a rather strong hero to pick in Marvel Rivals. She offers long-range damage and AoE damage, and generally performs well, especially with a strong team composition.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Goddess of Death; Astral Flock; Soul Drainer; Piercing Night; Nastrond Crowstorm; Hel’s Descent;
- Team-Up Abilities: Queen of Hel.
The Thing
Built to brawl, The Thing is a tank that doesn’t just soak damage — he wins duels. His slam knocks enemies out of abilities, his damage scales high, and once he’s in, good luck getting him off you. Works especially well against mobile Duelists and in close-quarter maps.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Boulder Breaker; It’s Clobberin’ Time; Ground Slam; Enraged Roar; Leap Slam;
- Team-Up Abilities: Crater Combo.
Angela
Angela is the first flying Vanguard in Marvel Rivals and has a versatile frontliner kit. Angela alternates between two combat stances: the Spear of Ichors when airborne and the Axes of Ichors while on the ground. This dual stance allows her to pressure flying and ground-based opponents. Angela has her Shielded Stance to absorb damage and mobility actions such as Assassin’s Charge to initiate trades, peel off allies, or pursue priority targets. Angela’s ultimate is Heven’s Retribution, which roots opponents and sets up devastating team combos.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Seraphic Soar; Spear of Ichors; Axes of Ichors; Assassin’s Charge; Shielded Stance; Divine Judgement / Wingblade Ascent; Heven’s Retribution.
- Team-Up Abilities: Celestial Command (with Thor).
Psylocke
With incredible agility and deadly precision, Psylocke takes over one-on-one fights. Her stealth and psionic abilities allow her to be an interesting duelist with massive amounts of damage to enemies from her ultimate ability. She’s capable of changing any combat’s tides of fortune and can win even if her team is weak.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Dance of the Butterfly; Psi-Blade Dash; Psychic Stealth; Wing Shurikens;
- Team-Up Abilities: Psionic Disc.
Phoenix
A flexible Duelist with one of the best ranged stuns in the game. Phoenix can snipe enemies across the map, dive with mobility, and her ultimate melts through bonus health and deployables. She shines as a counter to shield comps and overbuffed frontlines.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Telekinesis Burst; Blazing Lunge; Infernal Wings; Rising Heat; Ember Flare.
- Team-Up Abilities: Endsong Spark.
Invisible Woman
Invisible Woman is a Strategist added to the game on the verge of Season 1. She has both healing and control abilities. Therefore, this character is always welcome in almost any team combination.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Invisible Boundary; Psionic Vortex; Force Physics; Agile Strike; Veiled Step; Guardian Shield; Covert Advance;
- Team-Up Abilities: Fantasti-Force.
Emma Frost
Emma Frost switches between a ranged poke form and a Diamond melee mode with CC immunity. That flexibility makes her one of the best frontliners for aggressive team play. She’s brutal in 1v1s, great at punishing divers, and her grab combo deletes squishies instantly.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Psionic Projection; Carbon Crush; Diamond Rush; Mental Fortress; Crushing Shine;
- Team-Up Abilities: Crystalized Link.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye is a solid choice for a range-character lovers. He has almost everything you need: one-shot potential, relatively high move speed, and powerful ultimate.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Hunter’s Sight; Crescent Slash; Hypersonic Arrow; Ronin Slash; Skyward Leap; Archer’s Focus;
- Team-Up Abilities: Supersensory Vision.
Storm
Storm is also a Duelist, but she’s good for team support by boosting allies’ movement speed. Anyway, there’s nothing special about her damage capabilities.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Omega Hurricane; Weather Control; Goddess Boost; Bolt Rush;
- Team-Up Abilities: Charger Gale.
Doctor Strange
A familiar face, Doctor Strange, can hurl a bolt of mystic energy to protect himself and his allies or to smash his enemies. Versatility makes him among the most valuable assets of any group in combat. His ultimate ability can ‘freeze’ the enemy team, making them unable to do anything, which is too cool to be true.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Eye of Agamotto, Cloak of Levitation; Maelstrom of Madness; Pentagram of Farallah; Shield of Seraphim; Price of Magic;
- Team-Up Abilities: Gamma Maelstrom.
Winter Soldier
An inarguably relentless, famous fighter, Winter Soldier, couples raw might with a high-tech armory. He offers both offense and mobility. This blend makes him a staple for players who like to play ‘all-around’ and fit for any situation.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Kraken Impact; Trooper’s Fist; Tained Voltage; Bionic Hook; Ceaseless Charge;
- Team-Up Abilities: Infinite Grit.
Groot
Well-known Groot is here to show his powers of rooting and an outstanding ultimate ability. He’s no damage dealer, but he makes an excellent support, and his walls can completely overturn the situation in the game. But you need to master these defensive abilities in order to avoid creating obstacles for your own team.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Strangling Prison; Thornlash Wall; Ironwood Wall; Furious Flora; Spore Bomb; Flora Colossus;
- Team-Up Abilities: Friendly Shoulder.
The Punisher
This basic shooter is a really convenient and powerful character in Marvel Rivals. The Punisher is a strong attacker with a pretty simplistic playstyle, so it’s a pleasure to play for this hero.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: Final Judgement; Vantage Connection; Culling Turret; Scourge Grenade; Warrior’s Gaze;
- Team-Up Abilities: Infinite Punishment.
Star-Lord
Star-Lord is a flying Duelist with nasty DPS and burst mobility. He can jump into the backline, burst down a target, and dodge back out before anyone reacts. His Stellar Shift and tracking ult make him a strong pick in poke metas and coordinated comps.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Blastered Barrage; Rocket Propulsion; Stellar Shift; Beat Drop;
- Team-Up Abilities: Leader’s Soul.
Namor
Namor is an interesting choice for the Duelist role. He has damage reduction and mobility boost, but his abilities can easily be countered.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Horn of Proteus; Blessing of the Deep; Aquatic Dominion; Descend; Wrath of the Seven Seas;
- Team-Up Abilities: Frozen Spawn.
Marvel Rivals A-Tier
Marvel Rivals characters in this tier are some of the strongest heroes and are almost as good as the S Tier heroes. They might lack some cool OP ability or show the best results when you know how to play. Still, A-Tier heroes are a decent choice for any situation, especially if you find your OTP among all the best Marvel Rivals characters.
Ultron
Ultron is a hybrid Strategist with solid poke and passive AoE healing. He floats above the fight, lobbing high-damage energy blasts that stack up over time. His ultimate brings both sustain and pressure, especially in clustered teamfights. He’s great in comps that need a support who can finish fights, not just heal.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Nano Ray; Imperatice: Patch; Overclock Surge; Encephalo-Ray; Flying Menace;
- Team-Up Abilities: Rage of Ultron.
Captain America
Steve Rogers, or Captain America, is a strong pick for the tanky role. He provides movement boosts with his ultimate, creating an escape option from tricky situations. This melee character is good enough for strong matchups who need just a bit of support from an extra hero, but he can’t solo the game.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Freedom Charge; Leading Dash; Vibranium Energy Saw; Liberty Rush; Super-Soldier Slam; Living Legend;
- Team-Up Abilities: Charged Aegis.
Bruce Banner/Hulk
Hulk is known to be one of the strongest superheroes, and also one of the biggest ones. But this is the main problem of this hero in Marvel Rivals — he’s an easy target for enemies. Additionally, his mobility is too low to escape if the enemies are too close.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Hulk Smash; Indestructible Guard; Radioactive Lockdown; Incredible Leap; Gamma Burst;
- Team-Up Abilities: Gamma Boost; Gamma Fastball.
Mantis
Mantis is a cute elegant healer who serves effectively in maintaining the lives of her allies while passive-aggressively influencing the field. Great for players who favor teamwork over raw strength, but she needs heavy damage dealers in her team.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: Soul Resurgence; Spore Slumber; Allied Inspiration; Natural Anger; Healing Flower; Nature’s Favor;
- Team-Up Abilities: Nature’s Soul.
Peni Parker
This teen prodigy utilizes her powerful mech to dominate the battlefield. She has bombs, drones, spiderwebs — everything to make the entire enemy team tremble. However, she lacks mobility and can struggle with positioning.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Spider-Sweeper; Bionic Spider-Nest; Arachno-Mine; Cuber Bond; Wall Crawl; Cuber-Web Snare;
- Team-Up Abilities: Armor Expulsion.
Spider-Man
Looking for a hard character to test your skills? Spider-Man is an option for you. He’s quick, mobile, and can kill a pack of enemies at once. But there should be a disadvantage, right? The main point against this hero is that he is very team-reliant, and if your matchup is not perfect, it’s easily a loss as you won’t be able to solo the game.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Spectacular Spin; Web-Swing; Get Over Here!; Amazing Combo; Thwip and Flip; Spider-Sence; Wall Crawl;
- Team-Up Abilities: Suit Expulsion; Extra Web-Fluid.
Iron Man
If you want to test some flying characters, aim at Iron Man. He can stay up in the air and evade lots of enemy missiles. However, with all his pros, there’s a con: enemies are alerted when you shoot them, and they can also evade your attacks.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Invincible Pulse Cannon; Hyper-Velocity; Armor Overdrive; Micro-Missile Barrage;
- Team-Up Abilities: Gamma Overdrive.
Black Panther
Black Panther is a fast and furious Duelist, almost an assassin, who can take down enemies one by one. He’s mobile and interesting to play, but this hero is considered one of the most difficult to master. Additionally, the damage potential of the Panther is quite low.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Bast’s Descent; Spirit Rend; Spinning Kick; Subtle Step; Spear Toss; Panther’s Cunning;
- Team-Up Abilities: Wakandan Master.
Venom
A strong and defensive Venom is a good choice for your team, as he can both attack and withstand the incoming damage. This character is kind of a mix of Strategist and Vanguard, therefore he is rather versatile. He can gain bonus health with Symbiotic Resilience to survive even the most tough combats.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: Feast of the Abyss; Venom Swing; Symbiotic Resilience; Frenzied Arrival; Cellular Corrosion; Alien Biology;
- Team-Up Abilities: Touch of Klyntar.
Rocket Raccoon
Rocket Raccoon is probably the most mobile and fun hero to pick in Marvel Rivals. He has a bunch of healing abilities. However, these abilities are not the best in the game, which puts him a bit lower than other Strategists in our tier list.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: C.Y.A.; Jetpack Dash; B.R.B.; Wild Crawl; Flying Ace;
- Team-Up Abilities: Old Friends; Ammo Invention.
Iron Fist
Iron Fist basically represents a melee powerhouse. This character feels good in close combat. He is able to stay in fights longer because he has healing. Iron Fist’s mobility and CC potential make him a darling for many fans.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Living Chi; K’un-Lun Kick; Harmony Recovery; Crane Leap; Dragon’s Defense; Wall Runner; Chi Absorption;
- Team-Up Abilities: Dragon’s Chill.
Adam Warlock
Adam Warlock is a strong Strategist. He is perfect at dominating the battlefield with healing and utility abilities. He can become a core support hero for your matchup.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Karmic Revival; Soul Bond; Avatar Life Stream; Cosmic Cluster; Regenerative Cocoon;
- Team-Up Abilities: Soul Perseverance.
Cloak & Dagger
Cloak & Dagger are not just a usual character, they are a pure synergy of deadly damage and supportive capabilities. Masters of area control and team support, they dish out devastating damage to opponents with their well-timed abilities.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Eternal Bond; Shadow’s Embrace; Veil of Lightforce; Dagger Storm;
- Team-Up Abilities: From Shadow to Light.
Human Torch
Human Torch is a Duelist with huge AoE damage and strong zoning. He excels at melting clumped enemies and forcing people off choke points. His ult turns teamfights into chaos, and if you pair him with Storm, expect fireworks. Harder to play after nerfs, but still a threat in the right hands.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Fireball Blast; Ignition Dash; Meteor Crash; Flame Wave; Skyburner;
- Team-Up Abilities: Heat Storm.
Marvel Rivals B-Tier
Those Marvel Rivals Heroes who are placed into B Tier usually show slightly above-average performance, they are good fighters and can generally provide good results for their team. They can also often perform nicely as Healers (Strategists) and Tanks (Vanguards) if their abilities are meant for it. If you like characters from this tier but are not sure you’ll perform well, use the opportunity to contact our Coach and master your skills. Even a B-Tier character will become a weapon of mass destruction in your hands.
Scarlet Witch
Here, we have a good option for people who like easy characters with good potential. She has good mobility, consistent damage, and can slay low HP enemies without an effort. She’s a fun hero to play due to her invisibility capabilities and stuns.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: Reality Erasure; Mystic Projection; Dark Seal; Telekinesis; Chthonian Burst;
- Team-Up Abilities: Chaotic Bond.
Mister Fantastic
Though considered a Duelist, Mister Fantastic is a good tanky character. He can both absorb damage for his team and deal damage to dominate the battlefield. But do not rely too heavily on his capabilities, as this character is new and needs a bit of balancing.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Brainiac Bounce; Reflexive Rubber; Flexible Elongation; Distended Grip; Elastic Strength;
- Team-Up Abilities: Wedded Harmony.
Jeff the Land Shark
This magnificent Land Shark is not only one of the most recognized heroes of Marvel Rivals but also one of the best playable characters. Jeff the Land Shark is an all-in healer, with both single-target and AoE healing capabilities.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: It’s Jeff!; Hide and Seek; Healing Bubble; Oblivious Cuteness;
- Team-Up Abilities: Frozen Spitball; New Friends.
Thor
Thor is a true Vanguard who can knock back enemies and stop their spellcasting. But as a melee character, he can’t come close enough to the enemy team and be impactful. His primary attack is relatively fun though, so you should try to play this character at least once.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: God of Thunder; Storm Surge; Lightning Realm; Awakening Rune; Hammer Throw; Thorforce;
- Team-Up Abilities: Odinson Reborn; Thunderous Deity.
Squirrel Girl
One of the most interesting characters in the game, Squirrel Girl is a deadly fluffy force. She has lots of CC options and can summon a team of squirrels to fight on her side. But she’s a bit difficult to manage in team fights and enemies tend to escape her abilities.
- Difficulty: ⭐️
- Abilities: Unbeatable Squirrel Tsunami; Tail Bounce; Mammal Bond; Squirrel Blockade;
- Team-Up Abilities: Webbed Acorn.
Marvel Rivals C-Tier
Here, we can find Marvel Rivals characters with nothing special about their abilities or performance. C Tier is the very place for average and below-average performers, who can ‘just be’ in the game, but their impact will not be significantly influential. But even C-Tier Marvel Rivals heroes are capable of Upgrading Rank. You just need to master your skills with this or that character, or ask our team.
Black Widow
Natasha Romanova, a Black Widow, is currently at the bottom of the tier list as she has the slowest abilities and can not keep up with the game tempo.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Electro-Plasma Explosion; Fleet Foot; Edge Dancer; Straight Shooter;
- Team-Up Abilities: Supersensory Hunt.
Magik
This quick Duelist can get into the enemy backline and strike them with her massive damage. The major drawback, however, is her attack speed — it’s too slow to make a difference.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Darkchild; Stepping Discs; Umbral Incursion; Eldritch Whirl; Magik Slash; Demon’s Rage; Limbo’s Might;
- Team-Up Abilities: Disc Master.
Moon Knight
A good choice for those who like to throw blades and damage the entire team of enemies with blades. Moon Knight possesses one of the strongest ultimate abilities that contributes to his high damage output. However, this hero needs some support from his team in order to unleash his full potential and be able to wipe out the entire enemy team from the map.
- Difficulty: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Abilities: Hand of Khonshu; Night Glider; Ancient Ankh; Moonlight Hook; Triple Eclipse; Rising Leap; Moon Blade;
