Last Epoch Season 2 Key Takeaways

Last Epoch Season 2 Overview

As we mentioned, Season 2 of the Last Epoch brings a big chunk of changes and updates into the game. Let’s have a look at all the major updates:

  • New Endgame Areas — Explore the Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased in Monolith Echoes.
  • Woven Faction — A fresh endgame faction that introduces its own progression tree.
  • Advanced Crafting — Idol Enchanting, Attribute Swapping, and Set Item Crafting add major depth.
  • Sentinel Rework & Heartseeker Skill — Major class reworks and a new ability for Marksman.
  • Visuals & UI Upgrades — Improved effects, dungeon revamps, and inventory improvements.

Last Epoch New Endgame Content

Endgame is the most fun part of any game, and Last Epoch continues to improve it. In Season 2, new endgame content becomes available, including Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased and a new Woven faction.

Last Epoch Tombs & Cemeteries of the Erased

Last Epoch Season 2 introduces two new types of endgame areas:

  • Tombs of the Erased
  • Cemeteries of the Erased

Tombs appear as side encounters within standard Monolith Echoes, while Cemeteries are full Echoes with their own layout and objectives. In these zones, you will face increased difficulty, but will get better loot. One of the available rewards will be Memory Amber, a new currency used for Woven Faction progression.

Last Epoch The Woven Faction

The Woven Faction in Last Epoch unlocks after your first Cemetery of the Erased. Gameplay-wise, it brings a new layer to Monolith progression. You’ll use Memory Amber to generate Woven Echoes, which you can place manually on the Monolith web. These Echoes grant you more control over the type of content you run, from boss fights to loot-focused routes.

Last Epoch Season 2 Overview

What’s even more interesting, progressing with the Woven also unlocks the Weaver Tree — a passive tree that lets you customize rewards, difficulty, and mechanics within Echoes.

You can easily get access to Cemetery Echoes and upgrade your Woven rank with our Woven Faction service.

Last Epoch Crafting System Changes

Crafting system in the Last Epoch will also be updated with the launch of Season 2. The major changes include Idol enchanting, item shattering, the reforging process, attribute swapping, and experimental crafting.

Last Epoch Idol Enchanting

Last Epoch Season 2 Overview

First of all, with the release of Last Epoch Season 2, Idols get some love. You can now find Weaver’s Touch items that allow enchanting of class-specific Idols. This adds new affixes up to Tier 7 and gives you more ways to personalize your build. These enchants drop from bosses found in Tombs and Cemeteries.

Last Epoch Set Item Shattering

Last Epoch Season 2 Overview

Item shattering in Last Epoch is a new feature that lets you shatter set items to extract their unique affixes. Instead of stashing useless pieces, you can break them down and reuse their powers in crafting. It’s a game-changer for theorycrafters.

Last Epoch Reforging

Last Epoch Season 2 Overview

Reforging gives you the option to rework Last Epoch set items into alternate versions with different affixes. Now you can adapt older gear to fit your current build without starting from scratch.

Last Epoch Attribute Swapping

Attribute Swapping enables you to trade a non-sealed stat affix for one you prefer with the Relic of the Observer in Oerden’s Watch. You cannot select All-Attributes and Vitality or trade them. The game keeps the tier and roll range of the original stat, which provides additional end-game gear stat management.

Last Epoch Experimental Crafting

Experimental affixes are now only created using the Thaumaturgy Device in the Rune Prison Complex. You can swap out one prefix on a belt, glove, or boot item if the item already has two prefixes and no Experimental affix. Tier prefixes higher than lower tiers increase the possibility of getting higher-tier Experimental results (to T5). Using the Rune of Havoc, you can imprint Exalted tiers onto the Experimental affix.

📌 Note: Remember, Experimental affixes can no longer be sealed or crafted from shards.

Last Epoch Legendary Potential Rerolling

Now you have a chance to reroll Legendary Potential in Last Epoch Season 2. The Transmuting Gem in the Farsight Turtle Woven Echo permits you to reroll the Legendary Potential of Uniques. Results can either upgrade or downgrade the potential. In case potential is lost, the item reimburses random rare affix shards as compensation. Items that lose all LP can be reused in Nemesis fights with the Egg of the Forgotten.

Last Epoch Unique, Legendary, and Set Affix Rerolling

In Last Epoch Season 2, finishing boss battles in Gauntlet of Strife Woven Echo opens up the Sacrificial Altar. There, one piece of equipment — Legendary, Unique, Set, or Weaver’s Will — can be sacrificed in order to reroll all of its affix values. The piece being sacrificed has to have the same or higher Potential Tier, depending on affix levels or LP.

Last Epoch New Crafting Materials

In Season 2 of Last Epoch, you will be able to use 3 new Runes to craft items:

  • Rune of Havoc — Shuffles the tiers of non-sealed affixes on an Exalted item with 4 non-sealed affixes.
  • Rune of Redemption — Randomly changes the Exalted affixes on an item into different affixes.
  • Rune of Weaving — Transforms a random amount of the remaining Weaver’s Will or Weaver’s Touch on an item into additional affixes or affix tiers as if you had slain many enemies with that item equipped.

Last Epoch Sentinel Rework

The Sentinel in Last Epoch got a serious rework — not just bug fixes or stat buffs, but full redesigns of core passives, skill trees, and build identities. All three masteries (Paladin, Forge Guard, and Void Knight) now feel more distinct, powerful, and customizable.

Overall Sentinel Changes:

  • Combo skill logic fixed: No more weird cast animations or “ghost” inputs.
  • Movement, leech, and channeling effects now behave properly across all online/offline modes.
  • Orbiting abilities and visual feedback improved for smoother gameplay.

If you are unsure how to manage your build with all these changes, just use our Mid Tier Build to get ready for Monolith of Fate.

Last Epoch Forge Guard Rework

  • Forgemaster’s Might: You can now equip a 2H weapon and a shield! Great flexibility for hybrid offense/defense builds, but comes with a 20% damage and attack speed penalty.

Last Epoch Paladin Rework

  • Mastery Bonus Changed: Now gives +1.5% more damage per 10% remaining HP — better scaling for high-health tank builds.
  • Phoenix Strike and Holy Aura nodes now support Ignite, Fire Penetration, and Divine Bolt synergies.
  • Many passives redesigned to scale off Attunement, Strength, or Endurance, encouraging defensive layering with offense.

Key Last Epoch Paladin’s Passive Changes:

Passive NameNew Effects
Holy IconGrants regen and Ward over time after healing.
Prayer AegisGives flat Health and Endurance Threshold.
Divine BoltChance to auto-cast on melee hit, scales with points.
Faith ArmorMore Armor per point and Regen per Attunement.
Heaven’s Bulwark30% crit damage reduction threshold bonus.

Overall, now we have more synergy between healing, Ward, damage scaling, and unique Paladin mechanics like Holy Aura.

Last Epoch Void Knight Rework

  • The Void Knight tree is now much more focused and versatile, with big improvements to Time Rot, Void Leech, and Echo mechanics.
  • New nodes like Mortal Cleave, Temporal Velocity, and Vengeful Echoes add better crit scaling and utility to both melee and spell-focused Void builds.
  • Removed some clunky or outdated passives (e.g., Future Strike, Void Flux) and replaced them with streamlined, synergy-rich mechanics.

Key Last Epoch Void Knight Passive Highlights:

Passive NameNew/Updated Effects
Devouring BladeNow gives flat Leech and Damage on kill.
World Eater0.5% Leech and bonus leech rate.
Void Blades+3 Melee Void Damage per point.
Echoing StrikesMore Time Rot chance, Echoes hit harder.
Singular PurposeDoubled bonus if under 30% block chance.

Last Epoch Skills Rework

In Season 2, lots of skills and mechanics were reworked or improved to make the gameplay smoother and better. The amount of updates is immense, so we have prepared a brief outline of all changes:

  • Evade is now smoother, bug-free at map edges, and works well online.
  • Movement Skills cover more distance and behave better across terrain.
  • Minions avoid invulnerable enemies, properly follow the player, and respond more consistently in boss fights.
  • Fixed many bugs with instant skills, channeling, cooldowns, and visual glitches.
  • Time Rot’s base damage increased to 60.
  • Ailments like Doom, Abyssal Decay now use smarter logic when applying new stacks — they only replace old stacks if they deal more damage.

Last Epoch New Unique Items

Last Epoch brings updates to the Unique Items. In a nutshell, 28 New Uniques are added this season:

  • 4 are Backer-designed items
  • 8 include the new Weaver’s Will mechanic
  • 16 are entirely fresh additions

Aside from new items, there are lots of improvements that will make the game better. These changes affect not only items themselves, but also whole builds and item scaling. All in all, the upcoming Last Epoch patch supercharges the item game:

  • New builds now have more support through unique mechanics.
  • Weaver’s Will items scale better and feel more rewarding.
  • Old fan-favorites get cooldown fixes, scaling reworks, and new procs.
  • Set items be streamlined and made more competitive in the current meta.

Last Epoch General Unique Changes

  • Weaver’s Will now has a minimum scaling floor, so high-level drops don’t feel underpowered.

Last Epoch Reworked/Updated Uniques

Here are highlights of notable Last Epoch Season 2 unique item changes:

  • Anchor of Oblivion: Wave cooldown halved to 2s, now scales with AoE.
  • Battlemage’s Endeavour: Buffed Lightning Blast trigger rate on melee hits.
  • Bhuldar’s Wrath: Earthquakes can now trigger twice as often.
  • Blood Roost: Falcon scaling lowered; Dexterity bonus toned down.
  • Eye of Storms: Maelstrom casts are now guaranteed every 3s and can stack with idols.
  • Dragonflame Edict: Faster cooldown on Nova, now listed in tooltip.
  • Eye of Reen: Now triggers on any melee attack with a limit per 5s.
  • Raindance: More stats and improved stun resistance.
  • Sacrificial Embrace: Stronger scaling from Abyssal Rite stacks.
  • Storm Breaker: Changed from random Lightning Strike chance to Storm Stack mechanic.
  • Tempest Maw: Spawns Storm Sprites more often.
  • Volcanus: Increased damage and proc chance for Magma Shards.
  • Urzil’s Pride: Now scales with Lightning Res instead of flat Mana.
  • Many other uniques like Gladiator’s Oath, Ring of the Third Eye, Pact Severance, and Hazelroot received numerical buffs or better utility scaling.

Last Epoch Set Item Changes

In Season 2 of Last Epoch many set items receive their updates. Here’s a brief overview of all upcoming changes:

Forgotten Knight Set

  • Blade: More Haste chance.
  • Defiance: More Block Chance.
  • Set bonus Void Penetration reduced to 50% (from 75%).

Halvar’s Set

  • Higher spell kill Haste chance.
  • Now grants both Cold and Physical Spell Damage.

Invoker’s Set

  • Frozen Heart: Now gives Crit Multiplier against Frozen enemies.
  • Static Touch: Ward gain capped to 3 procs per 2s.

Last Bear’s Set

  • More Regen and Endurance scaling.
  • Lifesteal buffed on hit.

Shattered Lance Set

  • Now capped at 1500% Cold Damage scaling from Health Regen (was unlimited, but per-10 ratio reduced).

Vilatria’s Set

  • Downfall now gives up to 400% Lightning Damage and 200 Mana.
  • Storm Crown and set bonus also buffed for Lightning scaling.

Last Epoch Quality of Life Enhancements

Season 2 of the Last Epoch optimizes inventory and UI management overall. Auto-sorting of crafting supplies, Woven Echoes, and dungeon keys into special tabs is a feature available to players.  Cross-character Shared Monolith progress minimizes farming back and forth, and Portal Charms allow you to bypass encounters and go directly to dungeon bosses. Even respawns of dungeons are made better by having players able to re-enter encounters without having to start over.

Last Epoch Mastery Respec System

With the Season 2 update, you can respec your mastery at End of Time by talking to Chronomancer Lerinne. This also resets all passive points. Keep in mind that the gold cost scales with level (100g at level 1 → 1,000,000g at level 100). Sample Costs:

  • Level 10: 1,000g
  • Level 50: 30,000g
  • Level 70: 100,000g
  • Level 90: 600,000g

Last Epoch Keyboard Movement

One of the best changes in Last Epoch is that WASD movement has been added as an optional control scheme. It is fully remappable and works independently from point-and-click. Moreover, channeling skills (like Warpath) adapt to this mode for balance.

Last Epoch Inventory and Storage Changes

  • New tabs: Inventory now separates items into Inventory, Keys, Woven Echoes, and Gifting.
  • Auto-transfer button renamed to “Transfer”.
  • Keys, Echoes, and Resonances now auto-stack and move to unlimited shared tabs like crafting materials.

Auto-Sorting

You can now auto-store specific items on pickup: Shards, Glyphs, Runes, Keys, Woven Echoes. Each item type can be toggled individually in settings. To support the new system, the item pickup range was increased by 40%, and movement now auto-stops when pickup completes.

Last Epoch Loot Filter Upgrades

Legendary items in Last Epoch can now be matched by filters. Filters now support min/max ranges for:

  • Legendary Potential
  • Weaver’s Will

Additionally, we now have improved logic for matching rarity and reforged Last Epoch set items.

✏️ Tip: If using a “Hide All” rule, add a “Show Legendary” rule above it!

Last Epoch Stats Panel Changes

  • New stats: Electrify Chance, Melee/Bow Attack Speed, Electrify Duration.
  • Adjusted UI display for Damage Taken stats and Time Rot (replacing Doom).

Bug Reporting Improvements

Now you can press F8 (or hold “Start” on gamepad) to take a screenshot and open the in-game bug tool. Last Epoch now also includes a screenshot preview, loading indicator, and error message if submission fails.

Last Epoch Visual, Sound, and Cosmetic Updates

Many spells and abilities received new and improved visual and sound effects, such as Rip Blood, Marrow Shards, and Hungering Souls. Some new cosmetics are available in the shop, and older supporter packs are being removed on May 2, 2025. Performance optimizations and a tidied-up UI are also coming in the patch, making everything smoother for everybody.
