How do you Earn Medals in Helldivers 2?

There are two ways for obtaining Medals in Helldivers 2. You can earn Medals by successfully completing missions or find them in the field. Gaining Medals in Helldivers 2 through farming can require a significant time investment. Especially for players who have prioritized completing the primary objectives in missions. An effective strategy for acquiring a large number quickly is to strike a balance between the two approaches.

We will cover up all the ways to get Medals that are available to Soldiers in Helldivers 2, tell you about their pros and cons and find the best way to get the most Medals with the least amount of effort.

Completing Personal Order Challenges

Completing the Personal Order challenges is one of the best ways to get Medals. These challenges are the daily objectives displayed in the right corner of the menu.

Daily Personal Order Challenges in the game you can complete within an hour most of the time. Completing them helps players earn Medals quickly. These challenges usually involve killing a specific number of enemy factions or types, which you can track from the Galactic War Table. However, there are limited supplies per day, so players might need other ways to earn this currency.

Completing a Personal order will earn you 15 Medals. This will be enough to purchase two or more items in the Warbond shop.

Playing Eradicate Missions

Eradicate missions are available for both Terminids and Automaton factions, involving the defeat of a specified number of enemies within a 12-minute time limit. This makes them one of the fastest missions in the game. A full party can successfully eliminate the required enemy count before the timer expires.

After completing an Eradicate mission in Operations, you can choose a similar mission from another Operation to continue earning Medals efficiently. You can apply this strategy across different planets and faction types to maximize your rewards in a shorter amount of in-game time.

Extreme Difficulty Rewards

On Extreme difficulty, completing a few minutes of work can earn you 500 XP and 5 Medals. Operations may include multiple Eradicate Automaton Forces or Eradicate Terminid Swarm missions, allowing you to earn an additional 7 Medals by completing the next in the Operation. While the Extreme difficulty may make you hesitant, this mission type is one of the fastest and easiest with the right Stratagem and weapon loadout. And to have a solid set of Stratagems unlocked, you need to have a certain level. So, to make it easier to get experience and Medals, you can just use our Helldivers 2 Power Leveling.

It’s also worth noting that we don’t recommend doing Blitz missions to get Medals, because while they are just as fast as Eradicate missions, they may be significantly harder to complete.

Completing Missions On Helldive Difficulty

Helldivers 2 offers players multiple difficulty options to customize their gameplay experience, ranging from easy to very difficult. No surprises here — low-difficulty mission yield fewer Medals than higher-difficulty ones. And obviously selecting a full squad mission on Helldive difficulty guarantees the most Medal acquisition and other valuable rewards.

To adjust the mission difficulty level in Helldivers 2, navigate to the Galatic War screen from your ship and select your desired option from the available choices at the bottom of the screen. Keep in mind that you cannot change the difficulty once a mission has begun.

You’ll need to complete all main objectives using the best Stratagems, weapons, and armor. Enemy awareness and knowledge are also crucial in defeating swarms of enemies. Although completing main mission tasks can be very challenging, you are still eligible for all Medal rewards even if they die during the game.

Despite the fact that the secondary objectives, marked with blue icons on the map, increase the final reward, they do not actually affect the number of earned Medals. Therefore, our main advice in the effective Medals farming will be to focus on completing only the primary objectives of missions and quests for the fastest way to get the most Medals.

Thus we’ve covered all the best ways to get Medals by farming missions, we can now move on to the second farming method to earn Medals — farming fields.

Opening Hidden Bunkers

An alternate way of completing missions to quickly farm Helldivers 2 Medals is by locating and opening the hidden bunkers scattered throughout each mission. These bunkers are typically found in concealed spaces below ground level and can be easily overlooked. To don’t miss them out we recommended to look for doors with a blue outline and two keypads for entry.

In Helldivers 2, accessing bunkers requires coordination with at least one party member as you’ll have to interacted with both keypads simultaneously for entry.

Keep in mind that you can only earn 2-3 Warbond Medals from these bunkers drops, which you may consider low. However, as bunkers are available in every area, you should be able to accumulate a significant amount of them in no time.

Exploding Containers

While completing quests or just exploring the map during missions you may find cargo containers half buried in the ground. A hallmark of the right container will be explosive barrels next to them. Explode barrels or use grenades to unlock them, and get rewards such as Support Weapons, Medals, Samples, Requisition points, Super Credits, and extra ammo. Our just use our service to get any amount of valuable Super Credits you need.

Exploring Crashed Ships

Another popular method to get Medals is explore crashed dropships. Dropships are a common source of loot found at the base of brightly colored yellow loot beams. These beams are easily spotted from afar and you can discover them during Exploration in 40-minute timer missions. When players spot a yellow beacon flashing from a crashed ship, they can approach it for loot. In these areas, there may be a few small enemies followed by an elite or armored enemy. The loot inside is random, and can include Medals or Super Credits which are valuable currencies. So do not overlook these yellow beams while exploring.
