By the end of Cata Classic, there were no classes or specs that can be considered C-Tier or lower due to their satisfactory performance. But it doesn’t mean that winning a Rated Battleground became easier — you still need to master your skills, get BiS gear, and make sure to have a strategy against each class and spec.
Currently, Mists of Pandaria Classic PvP is available, and you can ask for MoP Classic RBG Rating, and our professionals will secure the desired wins.
📌 Note: PvP Tier Lists tend to change with the release of a new Phase or patch. We constantly update this guide to keep it relevant to the situation.
S Tier
As usual, S-Tier specs are the strongest ones, with the highest DPS, good utility, high survivability, and outstanding abilities. Even in the hands of a newbie, these classes and specs have more chances to succeed.
Feral Druid
The Feral spec of Druid is probably the most versatile character, who has everything you need for PvP: melee fighter with Bear Form and critical strikes from Predatory Strikes, bleed damage over time, great burst damage, excellent mobility with Feral Swiftness.
Hunter
Any spec of Hunters will do well in Cataclysm PvP. They have great burst damage, anti-heal from Widow Venom, and powerful attacks from Mortal Strike. Hunter pets are also very helpful if you a proficient enough with them. While all Hunter specs show good results in PvP and have an overall high Arena winrate, the best option would be to pick Marksmanship Hunter.
Rogue
Rogues are excellent in PvP since they possess excellent control, burst damage, and survivability. Their extensive set of crowd control devices like Kidney Shot allows them to control enemies. Defensively, Rogues use Smoke Bomb or Stealth to mislead enemies or to escape fights. Each Rogue spec performs well enough in PvP, but Subtlety is the standout, with excellent burst potential. And with the Fangs of the Father daggers, Rogues are even more powerful. If you want this Legendary Item for your Mists of Pandaria Classic character, but don’t want to grind, reach out to our team.
Mage
Mages are good at PvP, quite simply due to their crowd control, burst, and mobility. The Fire spec is particularly dominant, with solid control through the use of spells like Dragon’s Breath and Polymorph that can put enemies into position and control the flow of fights. If you are looking for a more defensive playstyle, choose Frost Mage with Ice Barrier and Ice Block that provide significant damage mitigation and immunity.
Warlock
Warlocks bring constant pressure and control to PvP combat. It’s considered that the best option would be to pick an Affliction spec to benefit from damage-over-time effects on the target, but other specs are doing just fine as well. Spells like Unstable Affliction and Soul Swap are beloved by many PvP players, as well as Demonic Circle, which adds mobility to your character.
Cataclysm PvP Healer Tier List
| Tier | Specs | |
|---|---|---|
| S | Restoration Shaman | |
| A | Discipline Priest | Holy Paladin |
| B | Restoration Druid | Holy Priest |
S Tier
S-Tier healers in Cataclysm PvP are defined by their excellent healing throughput, versatile utility, and good defensive skills.
Restoration Shaman
Restoration Shamans are highly desired in any PvP match for their incredible healing output and overall utility. Their healing arsenal includes instant-cast spells such as Earth Shield, Riptide, and Unleash Life, which give rapid and uninterrupted healing. Defensively, they employ Stoneclaw Totem for individual defense and Grounding Totem to dispel enemy abilities.
If you are not sure that you can play well on healers, even the S Tier ones, ask one of our PvP Trainers to practice with you in Mists of Pandaria Classic and show you the best tricks of the trade.

Blood Death Knight
Blood Death Knights offer self-sustain and versatility in PvP battles. Their Death Strike skill is one of a kind and heals you based on the recent incoming damage. Defensively, they have a collection of cooldowns, including Vampiric Blood, which increases their health pool and healing taken.

Cataclysm Best Arena Compositions
In the World of Warcraft Cataclysm Classic Arena is one of the most popular PvP activities where groups battle with the objective of killing the opposing team ASAP. The most typical Arena setups are:
- 2v2: Two players versus two players;
- 3v3: Three players versus three players;
- 5v5: Five players versus five players.
All three modes require you to find a teammate and fight against two, three, or five other players. Victory or defeat in rated Arenas affects personal and matchmaking ratings, which will determine future match pairings and qualification for end-of-season rewards. You can queue for arenas through the PvP menu, either alone or in a group, depending on the mode selected. In our guide, we will review each type of Arena Composition and provide you with the best team comps for any Arena.

- Marksmanship Hunter + Unholy Death Knight + Holy Paladin.
But building a strong top-tier team is not enough to win 3v3 Arena battles. You gotta be skilled and versatile to make sure that each match will be won. Or, alternatively, you can have one of our best PvP players on your team and win MoP Classic 3v3 Arenas with professional assistance.

- Arms Warrior + Retribution Paladin + Unholy Death Knight + Restoration Shaman + Holy Paladin;
- Marksmanship Hunter + Elemental Shaman + Warlock + Discipline Priest + Holy Paladin;
- Arms Warrior + Elemental Shaman + Warlock + Discipline Priest + Holy Paladin.
Many players believe that winning in a 5v5 Arena is easier as you have more people who can carry you if you are not proficient enough. Or that it’s more fun if you have friends as your allies. But that’s only partially true, as you still need to be attentive and skilled to perform well and win. Luckily, you can just ask our team to assist you with MoP Classic 5v5 Arena wins.
Arms Warrior + Retribution Paladin + Unholy Death Knight + Restoration Shaman + Holy Paladin
This is a very melee-heavy composition of tanky specs. Warrior, Paladins, and DK are masters of burst damage and crowd control. On Cataclysm Classic Arenas your enemies will stand no chance.

| ✅ Mortal Strike reduces enemy healing efficiency | ⛔️ Susceptible to area-of-effect attacks and crowd control |
Marksmanship Hunter + Elemental Shaman + Warlock + Discipline Priest + Holy Paladin
Here is a direct opposition of the previous comp — a ranged team. Built from Hunter, Shaman, Warlock, Priest, and melee Paladin, it offers adaptable damage and control. Additionally, most of the characters are effective at kiting and target-switching.
| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| ✅ Synergistic burst damage, especially with Widow Venom enhancing Elemental Shaman and Warlock attacks | ⛔️ Vulnerable to physical damage due to multiple squishy members |
| ✅ Multiple offensive and defensive dispels enhance adaptability | ⛔️ Reliance on cast times makes them susceptible to interrupts and line-of-sight tactics |
Arms Warrior + Elemental Shaman + Warlock + Discipline Priest + Holy Paladin

| Strengths | Weaknesses |
|---|---|
| ✅ Mortal Strike combined with Elemental Shaman burst for lethal damage | ⛔️ The lone Warrior becomes an easy focus target |
| ✅ High sustained damage allows for prolonged engagements | ⛔️ Vulnerable to crowd control and kiting strategies |
