Alchemy Bonuses in Cataclysm

Cataclysm Classic Alchemy continues to concentrate on the craft of usable potions, elixirs, and flasks and the conversion of materials through transmuting. Although it will not give you powerful equipment, Alchemy is one of the most profitable professions in World of Warcraft Cataclysm. Alchemists make consumables that everyone requires, which makes it one of the most lucrative professions.

Primary Perk – Mixology

The primary perk that Alchemists get is Mixology. This provides additional stats and increases the time for elixirs or flasks you use. At endgame, Mixology can give you an additional 80 to your primary stat.

Potion Master

This spec provides an opportunity to gain more potions or flasks during the crafting process. It is especially useful if you regularly use or sell potions and flasks for raids, dungeons, or PvP. Elixir Master

Great for raiders and players who use elixirs regularly. It gives the opportunity for additional crafts of elixirs or flasks with each try.

Transmutation Master

This spec is helpful for alchemists who would like to farm gems and volatiles for enchanting or selling purposes. It offers an opportunity to gain more gems or volatiles in the process of transmuting.

Important Note: You can only choose one specialization at a time, but you can switch between them later if needed.

Changes in Cataclysm Classic Alchemy

There are some important Alchemy profession changes in WoW Cataclysm Classic. Here is the review:

1. The new Alchemy level cap is now set at 525.
2. Journeyman, Artisan, etc trainers can now teach recipes up to skill level 525 for all skill levels.
3. Generalized profession trainers can be found in level 1-10 zones, where they offer training for all crafting professions (except Archaeology) and gathering professions.
4. Elemental transmutations are no longer available. Transmute: Living Elements converts 15 Volatile Life into 15 Volatile elements, depending on the zone you are in:

Darkmoon Faire Alchemy Quest

During Darkmoon Faire, a monthly event, Alchemists can participate in a special Cataclysm Profession Quest. To access this, you must have at least an Alchemy skill level of 75.

The quest, called A Fizzy Fusion, grants a +5 Alchemy skill increase upon completion. To complete it, you’ll need to bring 5x Moonberry Juice, which isn’t available from vendors at Darkmoon Faire. However, you can easily buy it from vendors in any city in Azeroth. The other required ingredient, Fizzy Faire Drink, can be purchased from Sylannia, the quest-giving drink vendor.

Professions no longer have separate trainers for different skill levels. All skill-specific trainers can now teach up to Illustrious Grand Master Skill (525). You can just visit your previous trainers in major cities for training. Additional general profession trainers are now available in zones 1-10.
