What Are Trials in Arc Raiders?

Arc Raiders Trials

Trials are a challenge in Arc Raiders, where you must accomplish certain objectives within your expeditions every week. Every Trail is meant to track your performance within a single passage, and you can only earn points for your best performance within the given week. As you undertake your expeditions, you accumulate progress bars for a variety of objectives, such as destroying ARC machines, old husks, and bunker events.

Each Trial has three score thresholds. Crossing these gives you loot boxes containing items of Uncommon, Rare, and Epic qualities, according to the level of your progress reached. As only your highest progress matters in terms of scores, you can easily meet numerous thresholds with a strong solo performance or a team effort.

There is also a Division aspect tied to trials. This sees your progress up or down based on your finish, with your level in the long run determining what cosmetic items you can unlock in terms of a specific season. This means trials serve a purpose in being loot and a challenge level that people can grind each week.

As a newcomer to Arc Raiders, you can think of Trials as a changing series of score challenges within the game. They offer a new challenge every week and a target you can look forward to achieving with each excursion into an adventure.

Arc Raiders All Current Trials

Arc Raiders Trials

There is a rotation of trials each week, although most trials involve similar objectives, such as doing damage to designated ARC units, completing bunker missions, and acquiring items scattered throughout the map. Doing these objectives well is rewarded, and a good run would involve good routes, good guns, and timing in relation to large enemy spawns. Here is a listing of common Arc Raiders trials you may encounter in the rotation each week:

Trial ObjectiveDescription Reward
Damage RocketeersFind ARC Rocketeer units across the region and deal as much damage as possible in one run.Epic crate for 3 Stars
Upload Data in the Hidden BunkerTrigger the bunker event and stay in control long enough to complete multiple uploads before extracting.Epic crate for 3 Stars
Find First-Gen ARC HusksSearch wrecked machines across the map and interact with their remains. Larger husks give more points.Epic crate for 3 Stars
Damage Snitches (Wasps/Scouts)Hunt down fast-moving flying ARC scouts. They spawn near patrols and alert bigger enemies if not destroyed quickly.Epic crate for 3 Stars
Damage Ground ARC UnitsFocus on walkers, tanks, Bastions, and Bombardiers. High-tier enemies give the biggest point spikes.Epic crate for 3 Stars

TrialHow to Complete

Deal damage to ShreddersGo to Stella Montis as it has the highest Shredders spawn rate. Use heavy weapons. Get Shredder Gyros as an extra reward for eliminating Shredders. During Night Raid, you get a double bonus.
Damage flying ARC enemiesYou can find flying ARC, like Hornets and Wasps, on any map. But beware of the Rocketeers.
Open ARC ProbesYou can find ARC Probes on any map. They don’t deal any damage, but the noise they make can attract other ARCs. Take advantage of the Prospecting Probes modifier.
Destroy FireballsYou can find Fireballs in bunkers or underground on any map. Use weapons with high ARC Armor penetration like Ferro or Anvil.

Arc Raiders How Trials Work

It records your progress in terms of performance throughout an adventure journey. Every objective is given a score bar, which must be completed by doing the necessary things before you extract. For this respective objective, only your best performance out of the total performance in a week will be taken into account, because if you perform poorly, your progress won’t be lowered.

The vast majority of trials will be rewarded for taking efficient routes. Damage-based objectives will drive you towards looking for a specific set of ARC units, whereas scavenging will involve a journey around the map targeting high-value areas. The best areas for big spike scores will be bunker events, elites, and large wrecks.

Your placements every week depend on your total accumulated points in Trials. Better performances increase your Division level, and ranking high means you can earn better season items. Because of this, it is fair to say that Trials can be both a series of challenges and a ranking ladder for players who want to maximise their potential.

Arc Raiders Division Ranking and Weekly Placements

All players will be placed in a Division every week, and these come with a series of cosmetic prizes. Your ending ranking will rely on your total points scored in all active Trials, with only your highest performance for each objective being placed into consideration. By the end of every week, Arc Raiders will rearrange your ranking according to your performance, with better performance pushing you up, poorer performance sending you lower, with every Monday starting a new journey up.

Each Division level unlocks an increased number of cosmetic items. Because these perks stack with one another, achieving an increased Division automatically awards everything received within the lower ones. When Do Arc Raiders Trials Reset?

Arc Raiders’ Trials will be reset every Monday, giving a new leaderboard and objectives to grind for each player. When the new leaderboard is triggered, players’ previous records will be finalized, with a Division update and a new set of five Trials for the next run awarded automatically by the game. This is why most players will grind out an optimal run over the weekend and then reach for better positions just before the new leaderboard is triggered.

The reset also determines your weekly promotion or demotion. If your total score places you high in your Division, you move up; if you fall near the bottom, you drop. Seasonal rewards track your highest Division reached, so each Monday becomes a natural checkpoint for long-term progress.

Arc Raiders Trials Rewards

Trials offer two types of rewards: weekly Challenge rewards and season-long Division rewards. Both systems work together, so you earn loot from individual Trials while also climbing toward bigger cosmetic unlocks at the end of the season.

  • The Weekly Rewards earn you points based on your performance in a given Trial. Each objective has three levels of scoring milestones, and achieving these within a single expedition will earn you a crate containing ‘Uncommon, Rare, and Epic’ items. Because only your ‘Best’ matters, you can try a few times until you reach the level you desire.
  • The Seasonal rewards will be awarded based on your Division level by the end of the season. As you level up your Division level from Rookie, Tryhard, Wildcard, Daredevil, and so on, you will earn a growing set of cosmetic items such as backpack charms, attachments, emotes, outfit options, and special colour swaps for top-ranked players.

Arc Raiders Challenge Rewards

Challenge rewards are earned based on your performance in each given Trial in a rotation every week. For each objective, you have three milestones when it comes to your scores, and each unlocks a different level of rewards. These milestones only need to be reached once a week, and your best performance on each objective will be registered by the game. Here’s how the Arc Raiders Challenge Rewards work:

  • 1000 points – Uncommon Reward Crate;
  • 2500 points – Rare Reward Crate;
  • 4000 points – Epic Reward Crate.

A crate will randomly include gear related to its level, be it a weapon, an accessory, a crafting resource, or a miscellaneous item. Because your progress will not be cancelled until the next weekly lock, you can repeat a Trial run as many times as you would like in order to upgrade a level of a crate. A crate will lock in regardless of your performance if you earn one later on.

Challenge rewards will be your quickest means of acquiring gear in the beginning, and most players will work off a few challenge milestones within one outing. This means your exploration of the trials each week is a constant means of acquiring loot, regardless of your Division ranking.

Arc Raiders All Trials Types

There are a few types of trials, and most of those involve PvE content. Each one assesses a different set of skills, ranging from combat effectiveness to knowing the map and controlling events. Although Arc Raiders provides an option for PvP battles during expeditions, you won’t be required to fight other players in any of the trials available currently. Here’s a categorisation of the most common types of trials you can expect in the rotation:

Damage-Based Trials (PvE) — This type of trial requires players to deal a certain amount of damage to specific types of ARC enemies. Rocketeers, Ground Units, Snitches, and Queens have different spawn patterns and scaling rates for objectives earned.

Event Trials (PvE) — Certain trials involve completing in-map events such as the Hidden Bunker. Points can be earned by completing an event stage, defending objectives, or surviving waves of ARC units. These will often be the quickest ways to reach high score thresholds if you know the route.

Scavenging Trials (PvE) — This kind of Trials is centred on scavenging for an ARC husk, wreck, or other objects within the environment. Larger objects and those of high-level machines reward you with more points, so this activity is a great use of your awareness of the map.

Mixed-Objective Trials — Mixed-goal trials involve a few rotations a week featuring a combination of several mechanics, such as destroying some specific units of ARC and uploading a bunker simultaneously.

PvP-Adjacent Moments — Although PvP objectives do not feature within Trials, expeditions involve placing rival teams within the same world. This leads to PvP encounters when teams need access to valuable spawns or locations for an event. PvP pressure will earn you no points but may impact your success in a trial run without being detected.
