By building a solid standing with different factions in WoW, you gain the chance to obtain unique rewards like gear, mounts, recipes, toys, pets, and tabards. As your reputation grows, higher-tier rewards become available.

If a faction-specific reputation has a counterpart in the opposite faction, it will switch to that equivalent when changing factions. However, for those without an equivalent, the reputation will revert to Neutral. Reputations tied to races or factions that don't align specifically with either the Horde or the Alliance remain unchanged.

To progress from Neutral to Friendly, you need 3,000 points. From Friendly to Honored, it requires 6,000 points. Advancing from Honored to Revered takes 12,000 points, and moving from Revered to Exalted demands 21,000 points.

The reputations related to Warsong Gulch are indeed some of the most challenging to grind. Additionally, the reputations needed for the "Insane" title, especially the four associated with the Steamwheedle Cartel, are also notably tough to achieve.

Making reputation achievements like "100 Exalted Reputations" account-wide in the "Tides of Vengeance" update was a welcome relief for many players. This means that now players can benefit from the reputations they've earned across different characters without having to re-grind those reputations on each character. It's a move that emphasizes a more holistic approach to player progression across their entire account rather than individual characters.

To view your standing with various factions:

• Press the "U" key as a shortcut.
• Alternatively, open the Character window by pressing the "C" key and then select the Reputation tab located at the bottom.
