To get a mount in Season of Discovery, you need to level up to the required thresholds: level 40 for the slower mounts with just 60% movement speed, and level 60 for the faster mounts with 100% movement speed. You will also need to learn the appropriate riding skill (purchased for gold), and then either buy your mount from a vendor or earn one through special events. Keep in mind that mounts with 60% speed will never become faster, even once you reach level 60 — their speed is permanently fixed.
